Dont blame your shitty life on drugs. Quit pointing the finger, and admit what the REAL problem is.

I get SO tired of people passing the buck...Oh but drugs ruined my life...oh but hot coffee burned my nuts...Oh but McDonalds gave me the fat ass.
No.
Your immaturity ruined your life, your bad driving spilled the coffee and your laziness gave you a fat ass.

Down boy. He admits right there that it's a mistake("Had I know at the time...") and isn't "passing the buck," so there's no reason to go biting his head off.

Selling my 1945 Batman #27 a few years ago because I needed $200. It also had sentimental attachment, as I bought it on a non-eBay auction site, back in the early days of online auctions, for $100 (worth $400) because the site had no traffic. I'd like to find that exact issue on eBay again and buy it back.

Any chance that was the old onsale.com ? I still have a record player and a dual cassette tape deck from that site. I was bidding on items on Christmas eve, 1996 and almost no one else was there.

William Blake said, "If others had not made mistakes before us, we would make them."

A friend of mine told me, "don't be afraid to make a mistake - anything you do might be a mistake."

A well known song notes, "It's better to regret something you did than something you didn't do."

My biggest regret is marrying the wrong person when I was 19. I'd never change a thing even with a time machine, though, because I'm happy with where I've arrived.

The part I regret is that I spent less than one year of my entire twenties as a bachelor.

A guy I met said he regretted that he'd wasted his 20's. I replied that I didn't waste MY 20's. I didn't.

Don't mind Shockwave, ViRGE. He is also living is some tormented hell. We were all forced to blame ourselves and accept our worthlessness as being our own fault as part of the consentration camp we all went through as children.

I got better.

Ahahah dude, I laughed so hard on that.

I've made lots of 'mistakes', but some of those mistakes have turned out to be my biggest blessings. Didn't feel like it at the time... but... older and wiser!

You Learn by Alanis Morissette

I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles
You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn
I recommend biting off more than you can chew to anyone
I certainly do
I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time
Feel free
Throw it down (the caution blocks you from the wind)
Hold it up (to the rays)
You wait and see when the smoke clears
You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn
Wear it out (the way a three-year-old would do)
Melt it down (you're gonna have to eventually anyway)
The fire trucks are coming up around the bend
You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn
You grieve you learn
You choke you learn
You laugh you learn
You choose you learn
You pray you learn
You ask you learn
You live you learn

My biggest mistake was "playing" SCCA out in the mountains with friends on a car cruise. I ended up crashing my 2-week old car because I wasn't used to the suspension setup the new car had. 🙁

I let a friend drive my van when I went to sleep in the back and he did this. It cost about $8K, 3 days in jail, and 2 years probation(drugs) about 25 yrs. ago when I was 20.

Oh, man that reminds me. My 21st birthday, I was at a party. I was with a guy I knew from work and we were kind of friends, drinking buddies. He asked me for my car keys so he could get a bottle of liquor he had stashed in the car. Next time I saw him, he was on a stretcher in the hospital. He didn't say a word as the tears came down his face. I never saw him again. The car was fixed by some crook in Brooklyn or Queens, I can't remember. I never drove it again. What a fiasco... Motto - never lend your car or give your keys to anyone, at least someone you aren't SURE you can trust. Never have again.

Once burned.
