forgetting how hot it was yesterday.

my 3yo black lab was chained up outside for about 4-5 hours due to him running off a mile away to the highway where this female dog stayed. i didn't want him to get ran over so i chained him up while i was gone. he could barely lift his head when i found him. he had a shade tree and everything(and water). i took him to the vet as soon as i found him. he had a heat stroke. they called me 4 hours ago and told me he died. i just buried him. i've never cried so much in my life and neither has my pops. he was the one who tied him up and he can't stop blaming himself. he already demolished the tree he was tied to with the tractor.

i just can't understand how he went down so quick and it wasn't even as hot as it has been.

i thought about making a thread about it but why? just to make myself cry even more. he was a one of a kind black lab. i've never seen a dog do some of the things he has done before. i could go on and on but i'm wasting my breath. rip gunner, i love you buddy.

How hot was it? Was he an old dog?

3 years old
it's mid-80's in arkansas today (if profile is accurate)

Your dad is responsible, he should blame himself.

Are you trying to be a troll?

I'm sorry for your loss, but it could have been easily prevented.

Don't take your anger out on me.

Really? Tell me how. We made sure he had water. By keeping him in the A/C when we weren't home?

Damn if you had them now you'd be sitting on a cool 5 million.

For me I'd say buying an HD-DVD player...

😛

seems like a few of these are girl related.

if i ever give my possible future son any advice, its to not get involved until you are 23. until then... well, you know.

I'm 22 and haven't been to college. I'm stuck doing the same crappy jobs again and again and again because I don't have a degree. I have no earning power. The funny thing is, I really do like one of my jobs. I teach skiing in the winter. I don't know anyone (besides fellow ski instructors) who honestly love their job. I don't know anyone who would wake up 2 hours early so they can beat the road closures to make it to work on time (happens when it snows a a lot). I'm just sick of being poor I guess. No earning power.

My biggest mistake was not going to college. Now I have rent to pay, a car payment, bills and relationships to maintain. School seems a million miles away.

My biggest mistakes and regrets so far in life:

1. Not spending more time with my maternal grandparents before they died
2. (Omitted due to personal nature)
3. Not going to college (yet, at least)
4. Having found several decent jobs and being fairly well-respected with 'only' a high school education

Getting married. Wasting my life and losing those precious years and the money and toys.

This is why I don't have interest in getting married.

Mine would have to be chalked up to being young and stupid. My ex-fiancee I knew the relationship was crap, but didn't leave. I should have left earlier on in it. I also bought her a brand new car, and that has screwed me over financially. So my biggest mistake would be 1: personal 2: buying her that car and 3: not ending it sooner with her.

Quitting my first job out of college because it sucked (electrical(power) engineering). I tell you what. not making money sucks more.

In todays dollars, I went from about $55K to $0. I ended up going back to school. Now I am a software engineer.

I let some ahole broker at 5/3 bank talk me out of getting a few 1000 shares when it was at eight.

Not majoring in IS/CS in college because I didn't want to end up sitting in front of a computer and monitor all day. That's what I ended up doing anyway years later but now I sit in front of two computers and four monitors.
