what other kinds of flops were there?

I thought Halo on xbox was fun....but purely for the co-op mode. I can't understand why they weren't able to implement that for the PC version.

I don't remember the name of the game, but it was built into real life. You had to solve a murder or something like that, but you received actual phone calls, emails, etc that REALLY put you in the game. This was about 4-5 years ago and it only lasted 1 chapter.

Majestic, someone I know was in the beta. Said it was very cool.

Cool until you become the next victim.

What?!

I thought both were pretty good.

At first I felt that way about Double Dash (the battle stages are so basic and simplistic its almost pathetic). Racing was fun though. Played through it with my roomate.

There was hype for 4x4 Evo?

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms.

Total Annihilation is one of the best games I have ever played. I have played it close to 1000 times, and even though it's 8 or 9 years old, I still have fun playing it. It is still more fun then any other RTS game out there for me.

Then Kingdoms came out, I figured it would take the ideas from Total Annihilation to the next level, but instead they scaled down the game, made it less complex, they ruined the whole idea of it. It was very depressing when it came out and sucked so horribly. I tried to play kingdoms a couple more times, however, I just didn't like it at all.

Pac-Man for the Atari 2600. I was so excited about this as a kid, and I remember even at age 10 trying to convince myself that it didn't completely suck. That was the worst.

Anyone remember Shenmu for Dreamcast? I bought that game(still have it BTW) and I played it, but I never got into it. I thought it sucked, although going into the arcade and playing old Sega games was kinda fun for a bit until I ran out of money.

Yes, but it's not out yet, so it IS possible that it will in fact live up to the hype. Not that there ever has been any hype.

Definately a dissapointment. I waited for it for a long time (as you may be able to tell from my screen name).

Part of the problem was gameplay. It was damn slow. I wonder if a booted it up on a current computer how it would run.

i'd say Daikatana for the OPs poser....

i'd also say Black & White split the gaming world the most as to it being a good or bad game....

however in console land, Mariokart Doubledash sucked the most rotton eggs....i loved Mariokart and Mariokart64.....doubledash was just pointless :-(
