Not being serious.
Got to the post where someone said something about Gears of War being stupid because one button does everything and I assumed that this thread was about stupid reasons to think a game is stupid, so I contributed.
Granted, there are legitimate reasons to hate on Gears of War, and maybe the poster just did not convey his point in the clearest way, but I just thought it was funny to complain that "one button does everything" when I'm pretty damn sure every button on the xbox controller is mapped to something useful.
Fear not, friend! I hear in Gears of War 3, the 'A' button does NOT do everything, and instead, to enter cover, you have to press the button on the controller matching the color of the object you're trying to take cover under. to jump OVER cover, press down on the left stick to lean weight backwards, then thrust up with right stick to move your momentum over the wall. to go LEFT around cover, rotate left stick in a CLOCKWISE direction, to go RIGHT around cover, rotate right stick in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction. rotate BOTH sticks at the same time in OPPOSITE directions and do a CHICKENDANCE to confuse enemies! To walk you will have to independently control your left leg and right leg - the left analog stick controlling left leg, right analog stick for right leg. Left trigger = crouch, Left bumper = stand on tippy toes. Right trigger = prone. Right bumper = BRAND NEW position that falls somewhere between prone and crouch. Press both analog sticks inward to BREAKDANCE. Hold down right trigger and press in left analog stick to "Number 1" on a dead enemy, hold down left trigger and press in right analog stick to "Number 2." Also, BRAND NEW game mechanic for opening doors. Press in left analog stick while holding down left trigger and left bumper to initiate DOOR KNOB AIMING MODE. Aim your right hand using the right trigger. When your right hand is hovering above the door knob, press right trigger and right bumper at the same time to grab in, triggering the exciting DOOR KNOB TURNING MINIGAME. rotate the right analog stick clockwise to try turning the door knob clockwise, rotate counter clockwise to turn door knob counter clockwise. If the door is locked, it triggers the DOOR UNLOCKING MINIGAME. Hold down 'A', 'B', 'X', and 'Y' to bring up your KEYS menu. Select the KEY you want to try to use on the door (there are over 1,000 keys found in the game!) and insert the KEY in the BRAND NEW KEY INSERTION MINIGAME. rotate the key along the x axis using the right analog stick and rotate the key along the y axis using the left analog stick, using the required KINECT ACCESSORY, rotate your head to rotate the key along the z axis. BEWARE - some keys may not exactly fit the lock, JUST LIKE IN REAL LIFE and require some "jiggliing" to trigger the lock mechanism! bob your head up, down, left, and right using the KINECT accessory to jiggle the key while it is in the lock! ......
I should get back to work.
