Bigfoot?

Not as big as the real big foot...

kinda remids me of those "Messing with Sasquatch" ads for jerky.

they should of sneeked up on it and poke it with a stick.

Book 'em Lou. One count of being a bear. And one count of being an accessory to being a bear.

Ape Out.

Looks like a bear to me. It's just turned around and trying not to move to avoid drawing attention, but it's kinda hard to miss something that big in a tree. 😛

If I saw bigfoot, I'd kill it just because it's an endangered species.

That brings up a good question. Can one be punished for shooting an unknown species?

For example, someone is walking around in the woods... possibly drinking... with an AN-94. He sees a big foot like creature about 50 meters away. He yells the standard Sci-Fi warning of "You have to the count of three to acknowledge that you are human!" and takes aim. The creature pauses for a moment, lets out a cry that is obviously not human, and moves away from the man with the gun. The man fires and slays the beast. He returns with it in the back of his vehicle and takes it to the local university. They declare that DNA evidence has proven that it is a new species of ape, big foot. The man has killed a creature that was thought not to exist. Will he be punished by the government for the death of the beast?

I don't think so. It's not homicide since it isn't human, and it's not a hunting issue as there's no regulations regarding it.

wow quantum, there's a blast from the past. i think i had a quantum fireball back in the day.

anyone ever have a conner or micropolis drive?

Yep had them. Micropolis SCSI drives in AV gear. Noisy and hotter than hell.
Also had miniscribe (MFM) drives back when 386s were like i7s today.

The worst drive ever was probably JTS. Super dooper slow and made Maxtor look perfect when it came to reliability. Pure elephant dung!

Anyone remember ESDI and RLL interfaces? Had those too. 😱

noooo ... trying not tooo ... ahhhh :hmm:... st506. There I said it. That ESDI forced it out of me. I think that caused an aneurysm ..

That was my initial thought as well, but then I consider that there might be some generic blanket laws that protect rare creatures. I know that the guy would probably have death threats sent in by animal rights activists since he killed the only known member of a new species. But, he would also probably bring in millions by selling the corpse, going on talk shows, endorsements, etc.

I'd need 2000 Quantum Bigfoots to equal the size of the storage in my main PC.

Actually, hunting regulations do not give blanket license to kill except for certain species. They give the right to kill very specific animals under very specific conditions. A deer license doesn't allow you to kill turkeys and a duck license doesn't allow you to hunt deer. Without a sasquatch or apeman hunting license it would be a no-no.

I don't know about that. AFAIK, I can shoot sparrows all year, and in any quantity I choose to. I haven't been involved in hunting in years so the laws may have changed a bit, but you were given a lot of leeway with unregulated species.
