The idea that a signature has to perfectly match in order to vote when it doesn't have to perfectly match in order to pay taxes is asinine.

It should make it easier for fraudulent vote harvesting schemes to sway the vote in Pennsylvania. No surprise.

You mean like the GOP fake ballot boxes all over CA to harvest votes?

Like that???

Something tells me you have NO FUCKING IDEA what "vote harvesting" is.

Unless the polling districts have teams of accredited handwriting experts verifying each signature, I'm not sure how you could justify tossing ballots out.

Certainly it shouldn't be up to some layperson's judgement.

And even if you did have experts, I'd think you'd need more than one example of a person's signature to make a decision. Mine is never exactly the same, and the one on my license is pretty bad because it was taken from an electronic pad.

My wife's grandmother has been practicing her signature for 4 weeks. Her arthritis is so bad she can barely write. She's to at risk to vote in person and may have her vote thrown out due to some archaic laws... Disenfranchisement is a much bigger problem than fraud. I wouldn't expect some GOP sheep to actually believe that though since facts are irrelevant to you.

Yeh, it's a giant conspiracy with thousands of evildoers all across the State! Trump said so, and it was foretold by Q! It must be true!

I said this in another thread but I never sign the same way twice thanks to my anxiety. On top of that I have horrible hand writing. If my bank can figure it out surely the government can.

This victory is almost too late. Last day to request a mail in is 10/27.

How many voters held off requesting a mail in due to fear of GOP efforts to trash their vote?

Im thinking a lot of younger or first time voters may not know these details. Some people that were too scared to vote in person did mail in, even with risks. All 3 of those groups are probably dem leaning.

"Big win for voting rights in PA"

I had hoped the "big win" was the decision to remove Donald Trump from the ballot altogether. Now THAT would indeed be a big win for voting rights, and a big win for civil rights, and a big win for gay rights, and a big win for women's rights, and even a big win for animals rights. :smirkcat:

I'm surprised you aren't complaining about Democrats disenfranchising the votes of whitey.

Oh that's right, it ain't happening. The only people trying to stop eligible minorities from voting are Republicans.

You need to include a big win for fascists and other Authoritarians who don't believe that the American public should be able to choose and vote for their own leaders.

Ohhh did you miss the post right above yours? Sorry i don't consider having to provide identification is stopping people from voting. I also don't think that having reasonable regulations in place to prevent voter fraud and illegal ballot harvesting disenfranchise any voters. I do think that you actively support vote fraud and anything else that would keep Donald Trump from winning another term, whether it's legal or illegal.
