Just watched it again over the weekend. Can anyone think of a better Carpenter movie? I'm pretty sure I've seen them all and this one is tops on my list.

For all of you World of Warcraft fans (in reference to the Six Demon Bag):

Jack: What's in it?
Egg Shen: Wind, fire, that sort of thing!

I remember when I was a kid I used to crack up over his phone conversation with the insurance company.

What does that mean? China is here? I don't even know what the hell that means. All I know is... with light coming out of his mouth! (Sorry, maybe the guy a couple of posts above can refresh my memory on the words. :p)

I LOVE that movie. One of my all-time favorites. Russell practcially speaks in cheesy one-liners the entire movie as he channels John Wayne. Some of my favorites:

"I was BORN ready."

and

"Sonofabitch must pay."

I love that movie.

Definitely one of Carpenter's better movies...the cheese factor was high but it was still a good flick.

One of my favorite martial arts fight scenes at the beginning of that movie. Took me a couple of takes to figure out the significance of him catching the bottle at the beginning of the movie - as related to catching the knife at the end.

Also gotta love the very final scene, I remember people jumping out of their seats and screaming when I saw it in the theater for the first time.

I'll have to rent this sometime for my kids to watch....

Dang.

I was sitting here watching it on my second computer while I work and just thought how much I liked the name Porkchop Express. Thought I might quickly register the domain name but of course it's already taken. Oh well.

If I'm not back by dawn . . . call the president. :p

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Jack Buton: That's not water.
Egg Shen: It's the back blood of the eath.
Jack Burton: You mean oil, right?!
Egg Shen: No, I mean black blood of the earth!

"Indeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!" :D

"Boy, I wish these were in color. Because what I'm really looking for is a girl with green eyes. And price is no object Mrs. Otool."
"Chinese girls do not come with green eyes."
