Yes, I know... a Big Ten team didn't make the Championship game, but better luck next year. 🙂

Finally a decent Big Ten bowl season. We've been stinkin up the joint for quite a while!

If it weren't for the SEC championship knocking Florida from an undefeated season... it would be a SEC vs SEC BCS Championship game.

The SEC has won 5 of 11 BCS Championships. Be gone with your wimpy big-10...

Can't argue that, it's the way it is. But while the best from the SEC>Big Ten best in top bowl games in recent years, the Big Ten is a much stronger league overall than what credit people tend to give it (and its probably fair to say the some top SEC teams over the years could probably beat some bottom nfl teams as well, lol.)

Great to see the big ten kick @ss in some bowls this year. (I cringe at the northwestern loss...a dramatic comeback, only to fall a hair short. 🙁 )

And the only ranked team Florida played all year got thumped by the third best team in that wimpy conference.

Wait.. what? an SEC team won the BCS?

one SEC to rule them all (even though I was hoping Alabama would lose so I could laugh at my neighbor... it was a forgone conclusion when Colt McCoy got knocked out of the game).

It's actually 6 of the last 12. SEC is 6-0 in BCS Championship games. Four different teams.

I much prefer to be realistic and then get surprised, rather than a fan with blinders on. And honestly, if it wasn't down pouring for half of the Capital One Bowl, I don't think Penn State would have pulled that out. Miami beat themselves against Wisc (although Wisc did play well). OSU looked good (or perhaps more appropriately Pryor looked good) against Oregon, and Iowa was solid against GT. I could easily see that Big Ten at 2-2 in those 4 games, but luckily we pulled out what we needed to for the wins.

go figure, a Big 10 team fared better than an SEC team in proper football weather

I can't agree with that more. I wish some of the bowl games were played in cold weather states. The Rose Bowl drives me nuts in that respect, play right in the PAC-10's kind of weather.

I don't see why they can't have some bowl games in the North, inside a stadium.
Have one in Indy or Detroit.

Florida played two ranked teams this year - LSU and Alabama.

Not much better, but there were two. I gave Florida fans shit all year about their ridiculous cream-puff schedule.
