BIG SPIDERS.........!

i just went to the bathroom and i felt this sticky silky thing all over my hair and i thought it might have just been a piece of my gf's hair and i was like whatever and when i came out of the bathroom i saw this 2 inches long spider staring at me. I must of walked and my head must of knocked it off when it was coming down from the ceiling or something. GOD IT FUKKIN SUCKS living next to the woods. I hate insects...never really ran into problems with spiders since they were usually small at my old place...but the ones living here are HUGE.

I just want to say big ass spiders SUCK! and RAID doesn't do sh!t. I had to deal it a couple of whacks from a piece of cardboard...sucker was fast as hell even after massive spraying of RAID.

I would of taken pictures on my digital camera if it wasn't crawling so fast away from me and just staying docile on the ground... I don't think it realized I was probably more scared of it then he was of me. I wish i had a camera on me like 13 years ago when I saw the biggest cockroach ever known to man at the ghetto govt housing apartment I lived in.

have you thought about getting that insect killer stuff you spray around the house to keep those nasty insects away? they're about ~$5-7. worked well for our ant problem.. worth a shot. and even if it doesnt get rid of all of them, im sure it'll help alittle.

spiders aren't bad. they are harmless to you and aren't dirty like a cochroach or anything. spiders even catch all the flys in your place.

too bad everytime i find one and try to gently pick it up to put outside they get away or they rip off their own legs. so i just gotta grab them and flush them. they give me no choice.

Of course they don't. Just like they don't give me any choice but to squish them with a giant newspaper/fly-swatter/yellow-pages/my shoe when they're frantically scrambling away from me.

Well, i have a pretty big phobia when it comes to insects...Just always did..don't know why. I wonder how i can get over it. Also I dont wear shoes in the house so i cant just step on it with my bare feet. The spray was in the bathroom like a foot away from me so that was my natural instinct...also i ment 2 inches from front legs to the back legs. I think if it had a 2 inch body, id prolly have to throw my accounting book on top of it first.

btw whats a waterbug? is it those little oval black bugs with a lady bug like outershell except its all black? I think the worst bugs are crickets...hoppin all over the place, hard to catch them if i can muster enuff nerve to do it.

LOL, almost as fun as going outside with a can of Silver quick drying spray paint and spraying ants and other critters. I haven't tried doing it to a spider though, must try that sometime

The worst thing about them, is when they hang from your cieling and your depth perception plays tricks on you. So you think they are hanging near the wall... but they are realling hanging like 3 inches from your face. I HATE THAT. Thats when they have to die....

Largest I've seen inside the house was (including the legs) about 10-15 inches. Mind you, I did not feel like coming close to it
Fortunately that was at a friend's house, who had to sleep there. We kept telling him that was the male, as females are always larger. It turned out to have been the female the next day, as he found the male in the sink, only 6-8 inch long.

Umm, maybe spiders aren't bad where you live, but where I live some species certainly are.

I have a perpetual problem with the brown recluse spider. I've found them in my closets, on my walls, shower, bed Q), etc.. These spiders have been known to cause serious problems in some people. One night, I did a "sweep" of my townhome and found 10 or so. I decided to stop looking for my arachnophobia was consuming me...

I also have a lot of wolf spiders, but I leave them alone. The weird thing is, my cats will eat anything that moves, but they leave the brown recluse alone. I can always tell when a brown recluse is moving around because my cats encircle it, but they won't attempt to attack it.

I fear the brown recluse spider.

Wanna hear a sick story, my friend was throwing a house party in his basement one day and he's not too fond of insects...he saw this big FAT spider and he just put a book on top of it and then heard a squish...everyone was like WTF? and then all these little baby spiders started crawling out from under....yuck.
