it's roach season in florida, you can't really escape them.
Lame. My parents lived in florida 20 years and never had roaches. They easily could have, if they had left food out, just like anywhere in the world except maybe the poles, but they didn't. This shouldn't be difficult to comprehend.

Bullshit!

For those that know my Black Widow thread, I moved from FL to TN about 3 years ago. The total time lived in FL was about 15 years though. Even my Black Widows there could'nt control the roaches! It wasn't real bad, but you do get the occasional one in your house!

I'm clean and never leave food out, but the huge roaches and Huntsman Spiders are everywhere in FL and are really uncontrollable! They either live until a predator kills them, or they die of natural causes.

Thanks god we have a winter here in TN and there's a normal lifecycle ;)

I usually don't agree with Casio, but he's right in this case.

You folks ever hear about using screens on your windows and sealing your foundation so that things can't crawl in? Also, a little insecticide along the parameter of your house can do wonders.

no shit.
People have open windows without screens?! WTH?
Even up here in NW Ohio we need screens for our windows. I've never been in a house anywhere that didn't have screens.
Insecticide around perimeter, and screens on windows, and generally a sealed house = no bugs inside. We'll get bugs inside because our front enclosed porch and back door aren't exactly perfectly sealed. But shit... it wouldn't be hard to stop roaches from coming in.

I sprayed once a week with Ortho Bug B Gone (Expensive/Effective) concentrated/mix with water, and it works to a point, but remember............. Roaches FLY!

Well...despite the fact they fly. If you throw down a solid line of boric acid around your house and in the cracks of your basement....behind the counters in your kitchen. You'll be in good shape. Just make sure you keep it clear of pets and their food. ;)

Proving once again that while narcissists are annoying and stupid people even more so, stupid narcissists can be an endless source of lulz!
