big problems

just the other day my computer started going really slow. I tried running my antivirus programs and they kept freezing up. I downloaded other antivirus programs and they did the same thing. I went into safe mode to see it that would help, but that didn't help either. I have tried Kaspersky, antivir, Trojan remover, and Trojan Hunter. I am running windows XP professional with service pack two. Can somebody help me out please.

is the whole thing going slow or just the internet?

See if you can download hijack this and post the log.

I would also look at task manager and sort by CPU usage, see if there is some crazy process taking a large percentage

everything is going slow and I went to the hijack web site and did a scan and fixe the two problems that I had. There is nothing abnormal in my task manager. I'm starting to get aggravated, so if somebody could please help me I would really appreciate it.

I've had a drive spontaneously slip out of DMA mode in Windows XP before, check to see if the drive is in DMA or PIO mode.
