Big Lots

For those who have Big Lots stores in your area, they havd 25 spindle Khypermedia dvd-r for $12.99. Also have Phillips 5 pack dvd+r, 4X with jewel case for $4.50. They have HP 50 spindle cd-r for $9.99. The HP is not a good deal, as Staples has the same ones for $7.94.

I bought some of the Khypermedia DVD-Rs today and they aren't compatible with my Lite-On LDW-400D. I would try flashing to a newer firmware but it doesn't exist for this drive...oh well, back to Big Lots.

got a 25pk from OM a few weeks ago when they were onsale. khypermedia = CMC, but i haven't had a single coaster and so far only 1 DVD that had a white block (error) in DVDInfo Pro, but that's out of like 5 that i tested. 1 had a ton of red blocks at the end (bad read error) but it was from an ISO that may have featured copy protection so it was meant to be that way

These Khypermedia are pure c-r-a-p. Do a search on google groups etc. and you will find lots of people having problems with them. Linky Poo.

Which are worse? I bought a 50-spindle of the K-H 4x DVD+R at OM last week. They had the 25-pick spindles for $10, but they were only 2X speed, and only had the -R left at my store. So for the same price, how do the 4x +R K-H compare to the 1X -R Princos that CompUSA sells?

I got 10 -R and 10 +R khypermedia discs for 10 bucks and I haven't gotten a coaster yet. They are 4x too
