I was at my local Costco last night and they're got a $25 rebate going on their Xbox bundle (normally $239.99; standard 2 game Xbox bundle w/extra S controller and DVD playback kit), making it ~$215 + tax after rebate. Not too shabby, although not as good as the Toys 'R Us deal (is that still going on? my local Toys 'R Us didn't have any mention of it in their store on Monday).

I'm headed out there again tonight to see if they've got the Futurama DVD set in, so I'll check to see if there were specific dates mentioned on the rebate.

Ask the CSR to verify the price at a local EB. They'll do it...no prob.

Or, go to EB first and "borrow" a dated shelf tag (if they have them).

BTW: Same tactic goes for BB.

I printed the price from the web and I asked them to call EB Games and they accepted it right away without calling it. No hassle for me. They even gave me another 10% more off without I asked for it. Good luck

Holy crap that was fast! I was just @CC and used their broadband computer to print out EB's price for Shenmue2 (at the time still $10) and picked it up for $8. That was a little after 3pm today. Maybe the B&Ms still have it for $10 a la that MGS2 $20/25 dealio.

After my post, I went over to the B&M EB by my work and axed if they had Shenmue II and the guys said, "Yeah, it's in the back. $10 new. You want it?" This was about 6:10 pm. Reg. tag price is $29.99, but the clerk knew what the deal was. I didn't bother wasting time driving around to stores to try and wring the $2 out thru PM. I can spare it - my time's more valuable that the thrill of jacking CC or BB.

Yeah that was really fast... I was thinking about going down to EB this weekend but a friend was going to the mall so I decided to go along. Just 2 and a half hours ago. Lucky me.

I loved the look on the EB guys face when he rung it up and saw $9.99... that was priceless! He kept looking from the game to his register and going, "hmmm... wow... 10 bucks... wow...." He looked like he wasnt sure if he should be selling it at such a low price.

Best Buy has 10% printable coupons that ppl have been getting by e-mail. I also have gotten a 10% coupon in the local paper as an insert. The coupons say they're valid on Game Systems (as well as acessories), so that would make the Sega Bundle if you're interested $199.99 - 10% ($20) = $179.99 + tax. It helps pretty much eliminate tax.

I plan on using it to buy my brother a GameCube (since we already have an XBox), help me get rid of tax and then some. I hope they also give me the free game with it.

Hope this deal helps some of you interested in picking up an XBox, or even if you're looking for 10% off a Live kit or game.

Well I found it on my living room floor last night, so my guess is that my dad left it for me from yesterday's paper. I dont know for sure...it doesnt have the date on it as far as I can see.

i didn't see this updated in the beginning, but the costco xbox bundle has an instant $25 rebate now until the 31st or so ($214+tax)... brings the final price to $236-something after taxes (CA). my gf picked one up for her birthday and when we saw it at our local costco, i pretty much got p/o'd cause i payed the regular price during xmas time... still a decent deal, especially cause we're executive members

Also, the article on Page 12 states announces that Halo 2 will be released Q1 of 2004...which we all kinda knew, but is now official.

And joyridestudios will be making Halo action-figures....prototype pics included on p. 12.

There's a good article on HDTV so ppl can better understand how it works and how it works with XBox.

Tried using the 10% coupon with the $5 GC coupon and they wouldn't let me. Nevertheless, I picked up Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for $14.99 after the $5 GC coupon.
