Fry's is advertising Virtua Tennis for 9.99. Funny, I didn't even know there WAS a GBA version of VT...

Edit: DOH! I just noticed that Virtua Tennis is already on the list for 9.99 at Amazon. Oh well, still a good deal for those of us who have a Fry's nearby and don't want to pay/wait for shipping...

Glad I reserved mine. :D

Walmart.com had them before Easter (cobalt and platinum) when most B&M were OOS. Just checked and they still have both.

My local Costco has a GameBoy Advance SP bundle. Consisted of your choice of color SP, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance2 Game Guide, the Game and a case. All for the one low price of $129 + tax and if you use your AMEX you get 2% back.

I was there about 2 weeks ago and they had the same bundle but the game was: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Four Swords (game book too), same price.

Guessing at what normal retail might be: SP = $100, Game book=$15, Game=$25, Case=$8, Total $148. So you save about $20, buying the bundle.

I picked mine up (one of each) : )

btw last updated on may 1st is getting a little tiring.. i think a coup is in order..

sorry i got no hot deals to add, but thought i'd give it a lil bump ^^
it's hard keep these guys updated if there's not much new stuff to update em with..
just got my hands on the SP for my bday, and it's sweet. as if i needed another toy, but my older gba games are getting much more play now that i can actually play em without getting a massive headache from squinting.

Here is a link to the three games BestBuy still has free shipping, if you are willing to wait forever.

The Games and "reviews":
Crash

Gamespot gave Crash a 7.4 Overall.

A synopsis from the IGN Review of Crash:
Presentation 8.0
The game looks, sounds, plays and feels like a console version of Crash, but on the handheld. The presentation isn't quite as elaborate as the console versions due to technical limitations, though.

Graphics 10.0
Absolutely brilliant use of rendered sprites and backgrounds to produce the look of Crash. Smooth, exaggerated animations make the game come alive on the small screen.

Sound 10.0
Crystal clear sound effects have been pulled from the Crash audio library...and the Shin'en folk have reproduced the established Crash style of music on the GBA's hardware...outstanding.

Gameplay 8.0
Crash on the handheld has extremely tight controls and changing styles of gameplay...though the sidescrolling levels don't really change in look from the Jungle, Snow, and Industrial themes.

Lasting Appeal 9.0
Though the main game can be completed in five hours or so, the challenge of finding all crates and beating the best time in each level bumps up the replay value...which is rare for a platformer.

OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 9.0

Spyro 2

Gamespot gave Spyro 2 a 8.0 Overall.

A synopsis from the IGN Review of Crash:
Presentation 9.0
Battery save, tons of levels, several mini-quests, and a pay-off mini-game at the end. You'll want to play this one until it's completed.

Graphics 8.0
The game doesn't look too much different from last year's offering...but since last year's looked pretty darn nice, there's nothing wrong with that.

Sound 8.0
Nice renditions of the Spyro sound effects and bippy music, even if Stewart Copeland didn't do the soundtrack.

Gameplay 8.0
Way more stuff to do than last year's game, and the controls have been tightened up quite a bit.

Lasting Appeal 8.0
The game's a decent length for a platformer, but it's over in a couple day's play. Luckily there are a lot of different mini-games

OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 9.5

Barbie
(I'm not willing to look up reviews for Barbie):D

New clearance prices on 3 games at Amazon.com

"The Scorpion King: Sword of Osiris" -- 5.29 with free shipping
"Iridion" -- 5.29 with free shipping
"Pitfall" -- 5.29 with free shipping

Reviews were mostly positive. But heck, at these prices, it's the cost of a rental at your local store!

Sorry for the lack of loving of this list these past few weeks...things have been quite busy. I will not be updating this list anymore on a regular basis, though I may be dropping by here and then to update it. Instead, check this out...it may be of interest:

GameBoy Advance Lowest Price List

Apparently, anyone can post to this price list and it will be automatically updated without intervention from the message creator, so the list will be kept up to date at all times.

Again, sorry for the lack of loving...may there be more GBA deals to come!

Thanks for the updates. Just picked up an Gameboy Advance last week. I decided to go with the Non-SP version becuase the buttons are too close together. The Non-SP is wider and fits my hands better.

Phantasy Star Collection for the GBA is for sale at Amazon for $19.99, with free shipping! This is a must get for you Phantasy Star fans!

Here is a snippet of a review posted on Amazon:
Many of you may have played Phantasy Star Online, but not the original games that these worlds are based upon. Those in your 30's or late 20's need not read further...they are here, pick this cart up! For those not in the know, Phantasy Star was Sega's answer to the RPG, and it was great. Released way back when the Master System went head to head with the Juggernaut that was Nintendo's NES, Phantasy Star pushed the 8 bit realm to it's limits. With 3D dungeons, sharp graphics, and a great story, it was one of the 8 bit era's greatest games...too bad few got to play it, as most people were playing Zelda and Dragon Warrior on their NES. The conversion seems terrific, and it holds up quite well in the modern world of RPG's, with graphics the only major obstacle. The quest itself is as addicting and involving as ever...where else can you fight through dungeons to get some shortcake

GBA: Phantasy Star Collection - $19.99 + FREE SHIPPING @ Amazon!
