I just came back from Target. The $50 gift card replaces the free game/gameboy player. This deal is pretty much for people who don't want the gameboy player and don't like any of those free games.

Just picked up a gamcube. Apparently, the free game with purchase of a cube has expired, and the 50 dollar GC is meant to replace that offer.

When I got there, they still had both of them up, so they had to honor both! I got a cube, windwaker, and a 50 GC for 149.99. ended up spending it on smash bros, another controller, and 4x mad catz mem card. :) for ~160, i'd say it was a pretty good deal!

"Summer Sizzler Sale!" EBGames flyer, lavender and B&W. Dunno if it applies to the other EB-chain stores.

Among other deals...
$10 mail-in gift voucher w/ preorder of BIlly Hatcher, must be postmarked by 8/15.

$10 off instantly preorder of RE: Code Veronica X or PN03. Valid until 8/3. Super hot deal! This means I need to take a 5+hour roundtrip down to Orlando (my future college locale) just to put down preorder cash.

In this week's Target circular, they mention that Mario Golf:TT has an exclusive they call 'Target Bullseye Tour Tournament'. Anybody have a clue as to what this is? If it's nothing special (like added levels or whatever) then I'm taking the CC deal...

I heard the owner at a local EB telling a guy that the free game / GB Player promotion has expired but he received news from "corporate" that they have extended it anyway. Perhaps Nintendo has a much later deadline for retailers to claim their refunds :)

Here's what I found out about that on a newsgroup:

I called Target, and the guy explained to me that you get a code in the
instruction booklet that allows you to unlock an additional 3 holes of play.
I would think that any version of the game could use these codes, so that if
someone bought it at Best Buy they could simply get a code from a friend, or
online, or something.

I'd really like to verify that :)

It looks like Douglasville, GA's Walmart may have had the Broadband Adapters reduced also, but the tag was ripped off and it was ringing up at full price. :( The tag CLEARLY showed "$2" before the rip making it "$29.99" or less (Unless someon here thinks it was $200+ or INSANELY cheap...).

Code from a gamefaqs.com board:
Ok, you hold Z and press START at the title screen and a new option comes up with the rest. Go to it and go to password tournament. Then enter CEUFPXJ1 as the password.

Apparently, Nintendo is going to be releasing more of these codes later on, but since we're blessed with the glory of the information superhighway, uncovering these secrets won't be too much trouble. So feel free to get MG:TT from wherever has the best price now ;)

I just came from Target - they had a bunch of Gamecube games out on the shelf, not in the locked case, and I picked up Wreckless - the Yakuza Missions, Crash Bandicoot and 4x4 Evo for $12.99 apiece.

I didn't check the prices on the others there (none of them had tags) but the others I remember are Resident Evil 3, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Timesplitters 2, a couple of sports ones (sorry don't remember which ones, but one was a 2003 so I was kind of surprised to see it).

You mean you want a scan of the ad? I don't think it would do you any good since they only PM to local stores.

Seen at Peachtree City, GA Walmart Supercenter:

Indigo Gamecube with Gameboy Player, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Master Quest Bonus Disc and Gamecube Previews Disc all in the same box (Extended package similar to the Walmart-exclusive box with the extra controller).

Instead of getting a Gameboy Player OR a game for free, this is like getting a Gameboy Player AND a game! (Yeah, I know, the Zelda preview isn't exactly an original *GAMECUBE* game...)

Neither of those show off real Gamecube software, so I guess it's a good thing the Preview Disc is included also ;)

The included discs were shown as a sticker on the lower left similar to the Mario Sunshine bundle so there may also be a package that doesn't include these (Though you can get the GBP free with any GCN so why package it in otherwise?)

My Walmart had the Gameboy Player bundles as well, but no sign of a broadband adapter.

I also noticed today at the mall, that KB Toys has the Gamecube for $129.99 when purchased with any game ( I didn't look into the details of the deal, but I would expect the game would have to meet a minimum price.)

The Kay Bee Toys in Baton Rouge had the same deal. I asked the lady that worked there about any catches to the deal and she was specific that it could be ANY game. Just to make sure I asked could it even be a clearance game that was only 9.99, and she said yeah and it didnt even have to be a Gamecube game. It could be a Playstation game. And the bundle still applied. I was so tempted to pick up the GC + Zelda and possibly NCAA Football 2004 or some cheesy clearance game but mom was visiting me for the weekend and guilted me out of getting it. I think the cheapest GC game they had was Torok so that would be $139.99 + tax for a system and 2 games, not shabby.

It seems that most stores are selling this game for $39.99. Try BestBuy which has it for $39.99 - $5 Gamer's Gift Card coupon = $34.99. That's the best deal I could think of for the game, but I'll keep an eye out for you.

Just a heads up, Buy.com has a couple of GameCube titles on sale for $9.99. You can find both Disney Football and ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 on their website for $9.99 each.
