It's pretty much $39.99 everywhere, and I doubt it'll come down. Most stores in my area are sold out, so if you're interested you should probably pick one up before they start selling for twice what their worth on eBay. It seems to be a trend with shooters... I wait for the deals that never show up, then the games sell out and I can't find them anywhere. I'm still looking for Mars Matrix and Giga Wing 2 for my Dreamcast.

great game worth every penny of 39.99 - pick it up!!!

Instead of getting a Gameboy Player OR a game for free, this is like getting a Gameboy Player AND a game! (Yeah, I know, the Zelda preview isn't exactly an original *GAMECUBE* game...)

Neither of those show off real Gamecube software, so I guess it's a good thing the Preview Disc is included also ;)

The included discs were shown as a sticker on the lower left similar to the Mario Sunshine bundle so there may also be a package that doesn't include these (Though you can get the GBP free with any GCN so why package it in otherwise?)

My Walmart had the Gameboy Player bundles as well, but no sign of a broadband adapter.

I also noticed today at the mall, that KB Toys has the Gamecube for $129.99 when purchased with any game ( I didn't look into the details of the deal, but I would expect the game would have to meet a minimum price.)

I don't know if this has already been mentioned. Get 20% off any preowned GC game or DVD at EBGames.com.

Use coupon code "20PRWN" - this code is freely available on ebgames's website. Go to the front page and in the "Special Offers" box, click on the dropdown menu and click on "Gamecube."

Link - scroll to bottom of page

Also, 20% off strategy guides using coupon code "HB20" - this code is available on the front page.

I'm probably going to combine this with the $20 certificate for Resident Evil Zero, Super Mario Sunshine, Disney's Magical Mirror, Eternal Darkness, or Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Props to the OP of that thread (which I can't find now).

If you look around hard enough, you might find a 25% off preowned games coupon code somewhere.;)

Can the $20 eb rebate offer be used on preowned titles? I don't see anything in the coupon details stating that it must be new.

The rebate form states that you have to send in the UPC. I don't think the preowned titles will come with the original box. I just ordered a bunch from them last night, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

BTW, the $20 offer doesn't give cash back; it's just a coupon code or something they email you for use in their online store.

Fry's here in Oregon had Tiger Woods 2003 + Ty Tasmanian Devil in their ad today, you have to buy both games together and it costs $25. Not all that hot, but I thought I'd post it just in case.

I've spent the last few days looking at dozens of sites for these two games, and I'm sure someone else out there is probably looking for them too.

Doshin the Giant: This is a European import, so keep in mind you'll need a modded CameCube or Freeloader boot disc for it to work on a non-PAL console. I wouldn't normally list an import, but I know it's relatively popular, and it's also on sale for only £12.99 (~ $21).

http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=GC0256

Also, if anyone's still looking for Cubivore, it looks like $49.99 at Amazon is your only option. Not exactly a deal, but this game is about as rare as GameCube games get, and I don't see it getting any cheaper anytime soon.

Really? Where did you see that? I've never seen it in ANY store and I've checked in WA, OR, ID, NV, and HI. And that's including several specialty import shops.

I've been interested in this game since I first heard about it on the N64. It got pretty mediocre reviews, but it still seems like something I'd like to play - and at $21, it's hard to pass it up. The problem is, as you said, it's a European import, which means the video runs in PAL format. Does anybody know if the Freeloader will adjust the video format? It seems next to useless if it can't adjust to NTSC (aside from using it to play Japanese imports.. which is pretty useful... ok, I take that last statement back), seeing as how that's the standard over here, but I want to make 100% sure before I start flinging money around.

...Does anybody know if the Freeloader will adjust the video format?...

The Freeloader just allows the game to boot. The game itself has to support NTSC and PAL in order for it to work on an NTSC television, but I've yet to come across one from Europe that doesn't. At any rate, I've read in several reviews and such that Doshin works flawlessly with the Freeloader.

Also, I forgot to mention that the site selling Doshin doesn't offer the Freeloader, so you'll have to get it somewhere else.

Sorry, not a hot deal post, but a general GCN post: I'm playing Rogue Squadron on a HDTV, but interlace is grayed out - why's that? I thought all HDTV support interlacing, so why isn't RS letting me switch that option on?

Cubivore (we were talking about Cubivore, right?) - Used for $29.99 at EBgames.com. I think there was also one at the EBgames B&M in Matteson, IL (fat lot of good that does you).

Ok, I received my order today. I picked up 5 used games plus a new Resident Evil Zero, and it was $6 shipping and 25% off the used games for $92 total plus a $20 rebate certificate :)D - great deal!). All the games came with the original boxes (including UPC barcodes) and instruction manuals, and RE Zero was shrink-wrapped.

From the Rebate Coupon form on ebgames's site:
Mail the completed form along with the original EBgames.com packing list (dated June 9, 2003 to August 3, 2003) and the original proof of purchase (UPC code) from the boxes .

You're right, it doesn't say anything about having to buy a new one. If EBGames honors the certificate with the pre-owned games, you could actually make a few dollars. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Used) and Eternal Darkness (Used) are $17.99 and Disney's Magic Mirror is $14.99. I think this might be a YMMV risk though.

A search for "Bomberman" brings up ONLY Bomberman Generations - Preowned, so I guess they don't have any new ones, so they would have to honor the rebate on this title.

Good luck if you decide to go for it!

Well, I just received my copy of RE0 but now it's time to ask the question that I hope is one everybody's mind (Else I'll look like a complete ass.). How in God's name do you get the UPC of the case without destroying it? I've attempted to remove the cover from the clear plastic sleeve, but it won't budge and I fear ripping it if I tug to hard. I also have tried peeling of the plastic covering just enough to cut the bloody thing, but the plasitic covering won't come off. So am I just going to have to cut out both a section of the plastic covering and the UPC to get it, or is there another way? I know this sounds like a rather stupid question, but I like things nice and neat and would rather not have a case that is torn and ripped (Though if I have to do it to get $20 by God I will!). Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed yet, but DeepDiscountDVD has started carrying a small selection of GameCube games. Nothing smoking hot, but they do have newish titles (Madden 2004, Def Jam Vendetta, NBA Street 2) for $45.99 with free USPS shipping.

Actually, now that I think about it, they're all EA titles.

EASY. Simply open the case. The sleeve will release the insert. You can open it all the way and bend it backwards a little and the plastic will open enough for you to fit your arm under it! :)

Thank you very much Croz and double thanks for resisting the urge to use sarcasm. After reading your post I had a NWDITOT!? (Now why didn't I think of that!?) moment. I think all the work I've been doing the past few days has addled my mind. I think I need to take some time off, ponder the meaning of life, and blow the hell out of some zombies.
