Regarding NBA 2K3

I emailed Sega about the defective game, and they replied with the following:

Thank you for e-mailing Sega Technical Support.

There is a problem with NBA2k3 for Gamecube, for which we are working on a solution as we speak. We hope to make an announcement in the near future at www.segasports.com on the message boards regarding a solution. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and support.

From what I gather on SegaSport's own message board, they've been giving this same response since October 2002. Too bad NBA Live 2003 sucks (for a simhead). Hope NBA Street 2 is even better than the original. =)

I have a feeling they'll let the conversation die down about it, then give a copy of NBA2k4 if you send them your defective copy of 2k3.

SSX Tricky and Turok Evolution will be 9.99 at bestbuy starting on sunday 3/9. Now question is can this be used with the gamer's gift card? I was told that you can find these things somewhere in the gaming section or near the cashier's station. What does this jewel case look like? The procedure was to put $0.01 on the card and use the $5 off coupon. That would make the games 5 bucks each. Am I suppose to take this card to the customer service? They would look at me funny if I told them I wanted to put 1 cent on a gift card. Can anyone go into more details about this?

the coupon is only good on a game worth $19.99 and above not two games combined for $19.98.
The jewel case is just like the normal cd cases
just flip the jewel case over and you can see the coupon if its the right gift card
i normally just put $5 on the card and use along with the coupon for my purchase

Yeah I would just put the amount that it will come out to after the coupon is taken off, that way I don't have to look like an idiot buying giftcards that are worth $1.

How do you get the games for $6.50 at circuit city when their price policy is 110%, which means they price match and give you 10% of the difference. These games are $20 at circuit city, so the difference is $10, so they'll take off an additional $1, so the games are $9 at circuit city.

Is there something I'm missing????

Got my order from wiredlounge.com today. They gouged on shipping (was ~$4, charged me ~$9) but everything was new and well packed, and even with the shipping gouge what I got was less than I'd have paid anywhere else I've seen.

I managed to get SSX Tricky and Beach Spikers for 5.99 each plus tax. I was able to PM BB's ad at CC which still had them for 49.99 each. I believe they had home run king listed as 29.99 but I won't swear on that. I didnt catch how much turok was though.

Got my Eternal Darkness and NCAA Football 2003 from Sam Goody today. Took a few days longer than I had hoped (I ordered 9 days ago), but I am happy anyways.

Wait... gouged? You mean they quoted you $4 on the site but actually charged you $9? Or they quoted you $9 for something that usually costs only $4 to send? (I'm asking because I'm wondering if the $7 they quoted me would be another $5 more)

Well at least it's brand new :)

Gouged, not defrauded. I knew it was costing me $9 to have it shipped, I didn't know it was costing them $4 until I got the package. Two games shipped USPS Priority w/ confirmation.

Oh okay, that's fine then I guess :) They have a bunch of games that are still almost $20 cheaper than elsewhere (Mario Party 4)

Yeah, that's why I'm not really bitter about it. :) And I'm thoroughly enjoyng what I got: MK: DA & Timesplitters2, along with the Wavebird I got yesterday as well. I was a little hesitant to plop $30 down on it, but after using it today I safely can say it was worth every cent to be free from a cord.
