Target has a $50 gift card promotion this week. Buy a gamecube and any 2 games regularly priced $19.99 or higher, and get a $50 GC. This was in the ad covering Dallas. Here is a link.

Best Buy in Fresno, CA just got a bunch of Beach Spikers in stock for $9.99 each. They also had several copies of Eternal Darkness.

I picked up 2 copies of Beach Spikers and one Eternal Darkness, and used the Gamer's Gift Card on the Eternal Darkness.

When I called earlier in the week they said they had 24 Beach Spiker's on order. I got 2, and they went in the back to get them... should be 20 left. If they don't have them on the floor, ask... they may have them in back or be able to tell you that they have them on order.

Hmmm..... looks like I'll need to go pricematch at CC and pick up some Beach Spikers for <$6 if they have it in stock! At that price, they make awesome birthday gifts for my kids' friends!

Beach Spikers is rated E for Everyone, and got an 8.2 in the reviews at IGN.com.

Woohoo. Picked up Beach Spikers at the Metro Point/South Coast Best Buy. There were like 2 left. Too lazy to go to CC to PM since it was too far away and I wold spend the difference on gas money. :p

This game is actually pretty fun. :)

Timesplitters 2 is $29.99 at CC now. This is a great fps. I bought it for $50, but I am still very pleased with the purchase.

Added TimeSplitters II to list.

Read on another forum that Freekstyle is $9.99 at Best Buy, but will wait for some sort of verification before posting to list.

Anyone ever have their Gamecube shutdown while playing a game? It's happened three times to me today and I can tell that it is definitely overheating by the smell. I believe the fan on the side of the case is not working. Its been over 30 days since I bought it so Circuit City probably won't help me. Guess I'll be sending it in to Nintendo.

On a positive note, my $25 rebate check arrived from Nintendo today.

Another positive note! Circuit City's extended return period for Holiday purchases is through January 31st. :)

Its probably YMMV. I was at BB yesterday to pick up Eternal Darkness (which was sold out :(). Freekstyle was not $9.99.

Tiger: Call 1800 255 3700. Tell them the prob. The GCN has a year warranty. A lotta times Nintendo will send FedEx to your house to pick it up.

There must be 50+ of those phones at my local Target for the same price. I saw four end caps full of them.

Thanks for the phone number, probably would be better than their online form method. I noticed the Fedex option on their online form. Hopefully Circuit City will just swap it out for me, if not I'll just have to go without for a week or more while Nintendo repairs it.

Great!

I'll be in the market for a GC console because Zelda will be out in about 6 weeks. If I can get new hardware and Metroid Prime for $149, I'll be happy. Only 11 days away.

I have been holding out for this deal. The guy at my local gamestop is going to put aside a copy of MP for me when I get it. He said it's not official they'll participate, but since it's a nintendo offer, probably everyone will. I also reserved my gba. Considering I go there every week, they hook me up pretty cool.

EBgames has a few other deals, but the one that caught my eye was Baldur's Gate: DA for $20.

BTW if you a GC and love FPS, Timeplitters 2 is a must for $29.99. It's like a cross between Goldeneye and Quake 3, and is an absolute blast.

Adding Baldur's Gate to the list.

I found TimeSplitters II to be an excellent game, but a little frustrating if you don't keep an eye on ammunition levels. Nothing worse than fighting off zombies with bare hands.

On another note, I was able to exchange my Gamecube for a working one. I had to go from Platinum to Black, but that is ok since Platinum didn't fit in well with the rest of my entertainment center.

Tomorrow, January 31, is the last day to get Bloodrayne for basically free at EB Games stores. $19.99 with a mail in coupon for a $20 Gift Voucher. Flyers containing the coupons should be in stores.
