Women have many advocates for them and if my sister were in the situation, I too would be insanely angry. However, I'm not her family, and there is great potential that she is lying because of his position. I'm so sick of people being able to scream rape and RUIN a man's life.

Not that I'm saying this is what happened. We'll see. If he did it, he deserves harsh punishment. If she is lying, she deserves the same harsh punishment.

As someone's family or friend, it's your job to assume that they're being 100% truthful and act accordingly. The same way for Ben's family and friends. For everyone else, the only sensible thing is to not make assumptions either way, and reserve judgement until you see some facts.

We know that it's entirely possible that he raped her. It would be a stupid thing to do in his position, but people don't always do the smart thing, especially powerful people who can get away with more than the average person.

We also know that if you're rich, you're a target for fraud. If a woman manages to get him alone for any length of time, this is an easy way to make money. She has a low standard or proof, and any accusation is so damaging that most would choose to pay rather than have the charge become public. Most of us also know women that are obsessed with at least one "star". It's extremely possible that the story is made up or exaggerated either for purposes of money or because the woman is delusional.
