Are you saying that's why he got elected? That's definitely not one of the reasons. Remember, Democrats also got punished working with the Bush administration. And working with Republicans meant Obama wanted Simpson-Bowles, which means Republicans won. Ironically, it was the Tea Party that saved us from the "grand bargain" because they won't take 95% as answer. They have to have 100% of what they want.

How is it rational for Obama to try for bipartisanship? That's dysfunctional. Republicans wouldn't even support infrastructure spending during the Great Recession. No way should they get rewarded. And Democrat voters would be rightly furious with Democrat politicians working with Republicans on their BS ideas. It's not going to go over well to support a BS infrastructure bill of handouts to the rich and toll roads and other crap.
Any President who wants to get stuff done needs some assistance from the other side at times. Look at Trump- he's the guy that fits your description. He won't work with the other side and look where that has gotten him, not much. I'm not saying bend over, but if no attempts from either side are made then nothing happens. Was Obama elected to be bipartisan? No, but he was elected in part because he was seen as sane by many. People wanted shit to get done and that meant at at least trying.

He's supporting a bill that has at best 20% support when he campaigned on having everyone "beautifully covered", lowering premiums, etc.

I think he was the most qualified too, but he didn't run, so we had a choice between Sanders and Hillary Clinton.

I don't give qa fig about Biden or Clinton. What I care about is that Democrats have a brain defect that consistently costs them elections. They have a basic blindness to the moral issues which Republicans understand and know how to manipulate to win. Democrats are intellectually arrogant and too identity focused to include a focus on campaign for working men who are particularly susceptible to falling for Republican bull shit.

You ignore the fact that the working men who are susceptible to falling for Republican bull shit are also people who intentionally let Masters Limbaugh and Hannity shit directly into their skulls every single day.

They aren't going to be voting for a Democratic candidate regardless of what the Democratic candidate says, promises, or has fun flashy power point presentations for. Ever.

That's exactly the brain defect I'm talking about. They are too stupid to hear and you come up empty when it comes to having a moral sense of how to appeal to them.

The brain defect is called greed, and its nonpartisan. Corrine Brown is a recent example.

Yeah, Democrats aren't very good at lying to the same degree that Republicans are capable of. What a shame.

This also is what I am saying. The liberal brain defect prevents you from understanding the moral issues that create conservative passion and so in your world of blindness, limited moral understanding, it would require you to lie to address it. You cannot credit the moral truths that drive conservatives. All you see is their misguided understanding of their own moral system. You have no appreciation for respect for authority, for example, or loyalty to ones group, or any understanding of what true faith really is. You see delusion and hypocrisy in their beliefs and they see moral your moral bankruptcy. That is why you can't craft a message that's true or have any real compassion for their point of view. You are a divider instead of a uniter because you are lost to the vision of how to do it.

There is a different way to see the world that requires a perception that we are all the same, a third way, the integration of paradox at a higher level of understanding. You see opposites but not the underlying unity. That is something contained in the notion of yin and yang and other mystical traditions, an invisible truth that requires an a special kind of realization or flash of intuition that creates a higher conscious state.

This may be all gibberish to you but I am here to say it is real.

Oh, it's real and I feel you are 100% correct in liberals and my brain defect. But you want me to compromise my principles and have faith that anything anyone does will reach conservatives with zero examples of anything working before.

You can call me blind, you can call me a divider, but you can't call me a fool. You go ahead and step into the oven and hope and pray that your screams will be silenced by their sudden realization that what they are doing is wrong.

What you are doing here is is what happens when a word view, a map, is circumscribed by the unknown, filling it in with your own fears in the form of dragons. You see monsters in 'the other' but I see myself and I'm the greatest thing to come along since sliced bread. You are too. Remember what I said about faith?

Biden was right... she wasn't...

She couldn't even beat the moron who seems intent on getting himself impeached because he just can't shut up.

Before you bring up the popular vote... damn I wish it was decided on that.
