Think about all the deaths that are heart related, cancer related, flu related, etc, that plunged in numbers during the pandemic. They were all counted as COVID deaths.

Look at Israel. They scrapped passports for now, but they are on their 4th booster and already consider people with only two doses of the vaccine unvaccinated, and have barred them from entry to their establishments.

(see bold typed) This is factually false. If they are counted as COVID deaths, then COVID was the cause of death (COVID pnemonia to be exact) with their other medical issues contributing. If they didn't get COVID, these people would have lived longer.

It's no differnce than someone with a bad hearts, cancer, etc getting ran over and killed by a car. It sure as hell wasn't their heart or cancer that killed them, they just may have had a higher chance of survival if they didn't have those medical issues.

Now stop with you lies, falsehoods, manipulation, and other bullshit.

So if all these unrelated deaths are being wrongly counted as COVID deaths why do the excess mortality numbers indicate we are actually undercounting COVID deaths?

I've yet to have a deniers tell me where all the excess death is coming from, if not COVID. Either we are having the biggest uptick ever of flu deaths or unreported car crashes, or maybe people aren't fucking lying about COVID.

Here's the thing about facts and science different pieces of evidence, collected completely differently, generally tell the same story. Conspiracies and religion follow no such consistency, and their believers don't understand how that lack of consistency automatically disproves their bullshit.

I've simply had a denier (a data engineer I work with) simply "question" whether there had even *been* any excess deaths. I said this is a stat that is reliable and easy to look up, he said "he heard it on the news". Want to guess which news he heard it on? I'm sure they were just "asking questions".

Conspiracy garbage gets you from 0 to loonytunes in small steps. Each step doesn't seem that nuts. Take enough of them though and you are into a bizarre alternate reality as seen from where you started. Solution: just go with it! Keep digging that rabbit hole and everyone else is deluded. I had to skip the last 5 pages of this thread but I wanted to thank all those who are spending their time playing whack-a-mole with the conspiracy crazies coming out of the woodwork. I don't have enough patience to do that here, what patience I do have is being used up trying to do the same thing in person.

What they don't even stop to think about is what is ACTUALLY required to fake mortality counts.

The counts are public information from thousands of individual hospitals, and hundreds of state, county and city health departments. Even in GOP strongholds. (The irony now is the highest cases and deaths are in GOP administrated areas)

All of those individual counts are public information and added up to the total.

If ANY numbers were "padded" to create a higher national number the local hospital or health dept. would cry foul.

To fake the mortality counts would require hundreds of thousands of people in red and blue states to be in on the conspiracy to lie.

The ONLY attempt at mortality count fraud we have seen is GOP governors attempting to withhold mortality counts. Period.

And what is the strongest evidence for padding the numbers? Weak anecdotal evidence of someone claiming to know someone who went into the hospital for something non-covid and their death was listed as covid. Conspiracy confirmed, bitches!

It is pure insanity.

My extended family can fuck off, we simply avoid each other and have for a couple years now. I don't live in their country, and I'm positive they feel the same. Mortality rate of those hospitalized is simple, it is the amount of deaths divided by the amount of hospitalizations, which is what I calculated. I calculated both for unvaccinated and vaccinated, two weeks after their second dose. What's confusing there?
