Biden moves to mandate vaccines for large part of workforce

I've said it before, religious (or philosophical) exemptions are a crock. They would have to go hand in hand with also being not allowed to be hospitalized. You don't like modern science, then be consistent, and don't make yourself a burden to caretakers because of your own ignorance. Go form Jesusland where your minister of science Benny Hinn can coordinate thoughts and prayers and healing.

Now Desantis, that tireless foot soldier for covid, is threatening a 5000 dollar fine for any company trying to put in a vaccine mandate. I can't leave this southern shithole fast enough, waiting for junior to graduate high school.

I think if someone wants a religious exemption, they should have to explain what religion they are, and what in that religion prohibits the vaccination. Good luck with that since no scripture of any major religion actually prohibits vaccination, being that vaccines didn't exist when these scriptures were written. Only the Mormons are an exception to that, but their scriptures don't say anything about vaccines either.

In other words, yeah, it's all a gigantic crock of shit.

Holy shit,. Because exemptions to the mandates exist the mandates don't exist?

Wat?

Public schools require vaccinations in all 50 states. Some allow certain exemptions to the mandate, but the mandate is still a mandate.

And the US has had vaccine mandates since the revolutionary war and it has repeatedly been upheld in the Supreme Court. Full fucking stop.
It's not up to school to allow it or not, it's state law. If state permits it, school can't reject it.

Mormon church leaders already supports vaccinations. My understanding is they directed all local leaders to absolutely not write any exemptions.

That's the president of the LDS church on the main page getting vaccinated. He used to be a cardiothoracic surgeon.

This guy is a perfect personification of the evil people that make up the right wing these days. Purposely lie and misrepresent data and live outside of reality and everything else. They lie more than they breathe.

They are the enemy. No nice way to put it.

In other news today, from England

Are the visitors without documents being required to get a full course of vaccines before being allowed to continue on their way into the U.S.?

I believe they are and I may be incorrect with this part, they may need to be vaccinated a second time even if they have documentation. I have read somewhere the US only accepts our vaccines and the European vaccine as valid vaccination for immigrants.

Was just looking over the per capita death counts by state this morning.

For a long time, the top 10 worst states consisted of 9 blue states and 1 red state. Now it's 4 blue, 1 purple, and 5 red.

We have a new winner with Mississippi, the dark horse, who wasn't even in the top 20 and now has surpassed New Jersey as number 1.

Gee, this whole not getting vaccinated and refusing to wear masks has worked out great for them. They are winning contest after contest.

And the blue states for the most part at least had the excuse of being caught off guard by the virus. The south is getting clobbered by it a year and a half in.

Those guns used a very small diameter high pressure blast of air to blow-inject its payload into the muscle. Kinda like a gunshot of air shooting a dose of something instead of a bullet.

Problem is that if the head of the gun isn’t exactly flat flush with the skin, the air jet can and will tear the skin. Add to that the fact the subjects usually arrived the shot station with their arms literally soaked and dripping alcohol, giving a slick surface, and hilarity ensues. Always a fainter who got sliced and diced.
1985 Quantico...I remember getting multiple pneumatic injections in both arms conveyor belt style in the 1st week of OCS . Luckily no one fainted in my platoon but everyone still had blood trails running down both upper arms by the time we left the Quonset hut. And yeah...no one asked what vaccines we already had. Over 1/2 my company didn't make it to graduation day due to injuries (2 guys were gone after the 1st night before we even started) so the docs were way to busy to worry about redundant vaccine shots.

Caught off guard, lots of seeding from international travel, and density/public transit.

Much harder to control a virus in NYC than a county with 1000 people, who never live the county

My employer sent out a company wide email this week requesting proof of vaccination in preparation for this mandate. According to the email more details are coming to them on the 24th.
Arizona AG already filed a lawsuit, i am sure many more will be doing it in the weeks to come.

Man, is there anything Illegals AREN'T responsible for? Those guys get around! They are practically bond villains. I think they caused the stock market to go down the other day, and the next day they were warming the oceans causing bigger hurricanes!

Some advice for any up-and-coming intrepid fear-mongering blame artist trying for reality deflection: when coming up with scapegoats, spread it around a bit. Gays, trannies, muslims, kneeling football players...the options are limitless! Heck even Communists are good for some blame every few years, what's old becomes fresh again!

The hilarious part with Covid is that anyone coming in to this plague-ridden country is far more likely to be getting covid here than spreading it from anywhere else.

Don't forget immigrant children, the children should never fall through the cracks.

They called it the "kung flu" and said the Chinese were responsible for it. So they already blamed "the commies." You can check that one off the list.

I'm sure the Muslims, gays, trannies and kneeling football players will all get their turns. They just haven't gotten around to them yet. Oh, and you left off single mothers and "welfare queens."

Then you'd think the state of Utah would have a higher vaccination rate instead of being 34th in the country.

Yeah you'd think that. Apparently there is a developing schism in the faithful vaccinated vs unvaccinated. I see it in local congregations. But as others have said the unvaccinated are Steering to Republicanism as their religion.
