Glad to see that Biden is interested in hitting the ground running. I suspect the first few months (even weeks) of his administration will feel like a whirlwind, in a good sense.

On a related note, how nice will it be to have cabinet members chosen based on competence rather than mindless loyalty, who don't usually have "acting" in front of their titles, and won't get kicked out after several months because they dared think independently?

It's sad watching the right try to suggest that the announcement this morning from Pfizer is a conspiracy to cost Trump the election. That they held it back to damage him.

Pfizer took no money from the Operation Warp Speed. The drug was developed by a German company, funded by the German government and the leader of that government is a... wait for it... SCIENTIST!

Amazing how that works.

Yeah they haven't "ascertained" that Biden is president-elect for reasons that seem as obvious as they are stupid.

That said Biden has raised substantial cash for the transition and I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to work gratis for a while.

As a general rule, it makes sense to wait until the election is certified.

There has to be some sort of formal notification process the GSA receives before handing out a blank check. At this point, the media is calling Biden the President elect, but that's not official yet.
