Bicycle, talk me out of this...

Do you have the tools to assemble it?

Doesn't LA outlaw any and all non-motorized travel, which means there is no safe way to travel via bicycle and you will be run over by someone in a Lexus and dragged five blocks?

Hell, who rides on the street?

It's flipping war on bicyclists here.

And yep to the tools, only thing I don't have is a pedal wrench, can have a bike shop do that...

Never heard of "Nashbar" and it looks like a POS.

Spend $400+ on a good bicycle at a bicycle store, you will be happy you did.

not sure if srs

It's awfully rare for me to be srs on teh internets. 😛

Moose: All my pedals these days have a hole for a hex wrench at the end of the spindle and don't need a pedal wrench. Dunno if those cheap pedals would have such a hole or not. If you're gonna go to a bike shop and pay them to attach pedals, just go there and buy a pedal wrench instead.

(Hmmm. I guess that last paragraph was serious. Damn.)

I worked at a bicycle shop during college for years, have assembled several of my own from the component level, I don't want to have a "nice" bike here in LA, just want something that works...
