I bought this last time it was on HD for $29.99 (now $22.49) -- LOVE IT. My bike now hangs from the ceiling, over the hood of my truck, rather than cluttering up the walkways around our vehicles. Just ordered another for the wife's bike.

How difficult is this to mount on the ceiling? Do you need to mount it on the beams? Thanks.

that thing has to be mounted into studs/beams otherwise the weight of any (even light weight road bikes) will yank it out of the ceiling. From what I have heard they arent hard to mount, just get a cheap stud finder and you should be set.

I can see my kids cutting the rope, sending my bike crashing ontop of the hood of my truck!

Do you sleep with one eye open?

Both! Those little sneaks would creep up on the blind side if I only had one eye open.

Then you just hoist them up on it.

Anyone find a filler for free shipping?

I wish my garage ceiling were higher. I've thought about buying one of these but if I mounted this in my garage, the bike tires would probably come down to around my shoulders so I'd have to duck to get move under it. :(

Grab a couple hooks from Home Depot for a couple of bucks and use a ladder if your garage roof is too high.
