I see no problem with this. Protesting Islam is a good idea. Then again, so is protesting Christianity.

I take it you're atheist/agnostic/against organized religion? That's perfectly fine, I say PO-TA-TO you say potato.

Exactly. You think your god is correct, so do Christians. You say PO-TA-TO, they say potato.

You guys can protest the hell out of each other for all I care, as long as it is peaceful.

What exactly are they protesting in front of a mosque? What does this achieve really? They want to fight? Sure go ahead and start one and lets see what happens. People should respect other people privates. Shouldn't we all just respect each others beliefs, whatever they are? In a CIVILIZED society.

It is called exercising your constitutional rights. As long as it is not ON any private property, they can do it all they like.

If the other side resorts to violence, like you suggested, they will be arrested and charged.

What was your point again?

Yeah, it always seems to be the Evangelicals who are both hateful and obnoxious.

Except I haven't seen ANYONE but an Evangelical Christian disturb others at their place of worship, or use "YOU'RE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL" to get them to convert. Self hindering behavior FTL.

What about that group of Muslims that wants to kill all the "infidels", and "push the jews back into the sea?" They are by far the most out of control sect of a religion in the world. Or are we just talking USA here?

A peaceful assembly/protest is an American constitutional right. I may think it is distasteful and short-sighted, but it isnt really my business.

You mean the rich Christians in the richest countries in the world aren't as violent as the dirt poor and repressed Muslims in the ME countries controlled by dictators that are propped up by the US and their neverending thirst for oil?

Maybe try going to the Middle East where they're the #1 religion?

Evangelicals here rarely do anything productive, rather than participate in several interfaith dialogues I've been to, where Unitatirians, Lutherans, etc. regularly participate, the only activities I've seen them partake in are inflammatory, like yelling from a megaphone at a Masjid or yelling from a megaphone telling college students they've got a one way ticket to hellfire.

Or, y'know, go about their business like normal people, shake their heads at the idiots who make a big show out of nothing, and support various charities and volunteer at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, etc. The difference is that in those cases, they don't put up a big sign saying "HEY GUYZ CHRISTIANS DOING GOOD WORK IN HERE LOL!"

The "dirt poor and repressed" Muslims that flew planes into the twin towers came from well-off families and were fairly well-educated and secularized.

I don't think that Billy Graham and his ilk have ever done that.
