Well some days ago i made this post about my disease(Bi-polar mental disorder). Now i hae consulted my doctor. He has prescribed me few medicines... They are Manza-5 and Senta-5.

Now i wanna know whiether they will have any side effects. I have been taking them for almost quite a while now. The only symptoms that i have been seeing are Lack of appetite and Sleeping for almost 16 ~ 18 hours straight.

Now I'm only worried about side effects like loss of memory or my IQ being reduced.

I would really appericiate if some person would tell me there opinon

I'd trust your doctor over anything learned here on ATH&F. webmd might be worth a look, but the point of having a doctor is to know these things, ask him.

or talk to a pharmacist.

We have a number of MDs in our family but for medicine-related questions I always talk to my sister-in-law who is a PharmD. She is much more versed in side-effects and interactions without bias from food-bearing sales reps.

Seriously, who do you think is going to be more qualified to answer questions like this? A trained, educated, experienced, and certified physician or a random person from Teh Interwebs? You have legitimate questions, and we have some very knowledgeable people here, but I doubt that there are any qualified to answer this beyond researching it on the web.

When you pick up your Rx's, ask the pharmacist. It's their job to know about side effects. Also, there is no charge or co-payment for calling your physician.

I've personally never heard of either and a google search shows nothing, which is extremely uncommon. Are you sure those are the names? The pharacist knows all the side effects and such so just ask questions when you go in to pick them up. They should also give you a small brochure or pamphlet that contains what they mention.

Thats the exact reason I'm asking this here. Google search is not showing any result.....
I'm only worried about the memory loss or such kinda side effects...

I mean, Last time many people said that they have many Bi-polar patients in there family...
So i wanted to know there experiences.. Any memory loss or any such side effects ??

Do you not trust your doctor or pharmacist to tell you the truth? I don't think untrained, inexperienced albeit well-meaning opinions are going to help you.

I doubt anyone here will have any input on these two substances if they are so rare that google doesn't even have search results for them.

Again, verify the names of these things. Most likely any medication your doctor would prescribe would have some forum posts somewhere on the internet where people are already talking about the side effects.
