Hi

I am building a computer with the ABIT BH7 and I am having issues the driver for the pci device. I cannot find that anywhere. Its not on the Mobo CD or on the Win 2000 CD or on the abit site. Where can i find it?

Win2000 sp2

I just got the same board and it installed fine without asking for a PCI driver. Maybe you need to look in the BIOS and set your graphic card to "AGP" and not PCI. I honestly don't know.

You can also try going to the Abit forums on the main site. They should have more info there.

Is this under device manage?

tx for the reaction. I disabled and enabled the unused PCI clock, changed the agp settings but still have the same problem. Didn't find anything on the abit forums neither....

Yes it's under device manager -> other divices -> pci device

That simply means that you don't have the drivers installed for a device in your computer. What AGP and PCI cards do you have installed?

its probably the USB 2.0. Go into the bios and disable the USB 2.0 setting (disable it) and the message should go away. You can download the driver from Abit (I think).

I disabled the usb2.0 but the problem persits.
no pci cards installed, (onboard audio enabled) 1*agp 3d prophet kyro 4500 tv out (agp 4x)
I also installed win98se and again the yellow exclamation mark for the pci system management bus, did also install winxp and here it is the sm bus controller wich has the exclamation mark.....

Do you need your data on the hard disk? When ever I install a new motherboard I prefer to dump the existing partition and reinstall the operating system. I'm positive that would solve your problem. The question for you is whether you're willing to loose what's on your hard disk. Good luck.
