Well, the thing is...I was going through his memory reviews, and I could find nothing of BH-5 chips at all. I had looked at performance charts, and seeing as how OCZ gold rev. 2 was highest on the charts consistently, I thought perhaps it was using BH-5. I did manage to find an earlier Anand article on the introduction of the 3700 gold, and it confirmed the gold to have samsung chips. I suppose that rev. 2 has the same chips as well.

ProMOS chips...*sigh*
Oh well...thanks for taking the time to answer
1gb of OCZ 3700 rev. 2 off that link for $285 I think...dual channel 2x512
if anyone finds this a good deal on this memory, feel free to post about it in the hot deals section

The original OCZ PC3700 Gold used Samsung chips. The Rev 2, I believe, uses Hynix.
The only OCZ memory that ever used Winbond BH-5 were the PC3500 Platinum Limited Editions.

Is this going in the AMD rig in your sig? If so, I wouldn't recommend it. The AthlonXP platform prefers low latency ram over high speed/bandwidth. Keep that in mind. However, if you are on A64/P4, I would recommend going with the OCZ Enhanced Bandwidth series.
