Every time I play with a Playbook in a store I really like it. I am a 7 inch tablet fanboy.

I like the 7in form, much more portable than the 10in models. I don't like that the current 7in models are priced the same as the 10in models though. Sometimes more. Rip off.

They're trying to generate traffic to the website.

Also the comments on that piece are lulz....

God > Smart People > Regular People > Dumb People > People who buy things just because they are Android > iNorm > People who hate Apple just because > People who own RIM products.

While I do agree with many of his points, I wonder if they put this up to try to counter all their anti-RIM stories lately.

"Look! See! We post good stuff about them too!'

WTF are you supposed to do with it if it doesn't have email and the apps are crap? salivate over specs?

Internet? And it does have apps.

Seriously, almost everything I do with my PlayBook is within the browser, and I'm ok with that. The browser is *very* good.

I basically agree with the article. The Playbook has the most potential right now. It also probably has the least realized potential.
Xoom is already behind the curve in many ways and the ipad will need a 3rd version to really improve.

lol, there are hundreds maybe even thousands of apps, and I use BlackBerry Bridge or gmail in the browser.

I believe they announced that, thanks to the dev promotion, there were several thousand at launch, and after three more months, I'm sure that number has risen substantially.

I don't own a tablet, but I have played with several for quite some time and I too really like the playbook.

The iPad is gorgeous for reading a digital magazine, but I like the playbook's added portability.

im enjoying the rooted nook color for its size. sometimes i wish it was a tad more square but overall im happy with it. my friends have ipads, im windows/google user so i dont want one, but i dont really like the larger size, which is one reason i decided not to get a transformer or something

The PB shows why we need RIM:

1. Only tablet maker to push for built-in tethering. Apple pioneered paying another monthly fee for a tablet, and the Android makers are even worse- the first two flagship tablets were 3G only at first! Glad some big company is willing for fight for the right to tether.

2. From my experience it seems to have a composite based OS, putting it in Apple's category.

3. Android compatibility- might be useful if Oracle kills Android.

4. Only major tablet with 7 inch screen! Its screen is probably the best on the market.

5. Has a lot of fresh ideas for the tablet market and pushes a lot of useful benefits like true multi-tasking.

i saw a touchpad today at office depot, BUT they did not have a LIVE demo! they just had an app running to "show off" the capabilities of the TouchPad

Just touch the screen, it will ask you if you want exit demo mode.

I actually like the playbook, I just wish it had apps. I do like the 7" for the sharpness of the display vs rather than it being portable.

I'm streaming The Tested Show on my PlayBook right now while I use my monitor to do work. Your move, iPad.

Er, wait, I had the presence of mind to do a quick Google search for "justin.tv ipad" before I posted and found there's an iPad app for the site. Damn it. ;)
