Hello all,

Carreir contracts are coming to an end, and I am thinking with working with a wholesaler. Any suggestions would be appreciated Here is some additional info on our BGP blend

1. USA, east and west coast
2. currently with comcast and centurylink
3. looking for 2 Gbps with burst

Thank you for your help.

Doesn't get much cheaper than Huricane Electric and Cogent.

Even if you're not in a building they immediately service, a Comcast E-Line connection to one of their DCs + bandwidth from them is probably still cheaper than DIA from Comcast.

+1 for HE. I have been very happy with them.

Cogent... well, they're cheap. I found them to be a headache to work with in many different ways. I would strongly recommend that you not be solely on Cogent, only use them as a part of a blend where you are somewhat actively steering routes. What you don't pay for in bandwidth you may well pay for in labor.

Thank you both for the recommend. Yeah cogent seems to have a pretty bad rep among the lower end providers, either way we are going to blend.

drebo - thanks for that insight as well. HE seems like they can be a good fit for the less critical traffic.

Any experience working with a bandwidth broker who handles either carrier??

Add Cogent & HE in with other better carriers such as nLayer, Zayo/Abovenet, Level3 and you should be golden. Maybe even some Internap.
