BG2 Shadow Dragon: it's sooooooo on, now!!!

Myriam has so far made short work of adamantite golems, liches, illithids, umber hulks, a red dragon, a Shade Lord and various mages but she has met her match for the moment in the Shadow Dragon. I just spent two hours this evening getting her ass kicked against this enemy. It is soooooooooo on now. I am going to take Bodhi's boat to meet more fodder/enemies in Spellhold etc... and gather more artefacts.

Then I shall come back to the Temple Ruins to make this dragon a trophy at level 40, 50, 60, whatever is needed... until I can piss on its corpse. She will kill the Shadow Dragon by herself and I will not look at online hints/cheats. I'll find a way on my own to silence it, kill it before her weapons get useless, make it waste its spells, whatever, even if that takes weeks.

That really defeats the purpose of playing doesn't it? You could just declare yourself the 'winner' and walk away. That would be even easier.
 
Can your Myriam grasp even the basic things about reality with an INT of 5? 😛

And how in the world did you kill Kangaxx? 😕 I can understand the others, brute force can be effective, but Kangaxx? He just chain-Imprisonments after he goes Demi-lich mode. It ignores Magic Resistance completely, has no saving throws, nothing. Protection from Undead doesn't work on him (at least not with my BGT with Tactics mod 😛). I managed to solo-kill him with my F/M/T in the end though... was VERY tricky... teleport field wasted so much time from my anti-Imprisonment buffs, I had to get lucky (a gate'd demon helped too 🙂).

Ohh and BG1+TotSC+DSotSC+NTotSC+BG2+ToB+SoS+TDD+Tactics all in one game here🙂 Pure awesomeness.
 
Firkraag is the red dragon I killed in a couple of minutes a few days ago. Wearing his armour right now.😛

I haven't met Kangaxx yet. I know where he is but just cannot seem to access this area. Left his torso and another part of him near there for possible revival one day. Maybe my improved phase spider will be of help there too, webbing him early in the fight (which she never managed to do against the shadow dragon. He instantly killed both my spider and my efreeti each time and I can summon them only once per day with my artefacts.

Yup. But wise beyond her years.😛 That low IQ is a hindrance to using scrolls. I have to employ genius potions before hand.

you've killed firkaag but can't beat the shadow dragon??? 😕😕😕😕

i always found firkaag harder.

don't forget when fighting kangaxx you need a +4 weapon or greater

You can't. You need to have BG1 with TotSC and BG2 with ToB. Then download Baldur's Gate Trilogy and the other mods (quite easy to find) and follow the instructions on how to instal everything so that it works without any problems🙂
 
Monk quivering palm and chromatic orb (level 1 spell) can kill non-TOB dragons in 1 hit. I found this to be quite humorous.

I once rolled 106 with an elven ranger. It took hours.
 
do we really need a new thread for every update about your character? can't you just post it in the original thread you made about the game?

Yet somehow the dialog isn't changed in BG 😛 They needed to do an idiot version of the game like they did in fallout...
 
How did you get your base THac0 below 0? 😕 Fighters and paladins have the lowest one, stops at 0. As for Kangaxx, without the Tactics mod, all you have to do is use a scroll Protection from Undead and spank him silly.

My F/M/T just entered the drow city. Accompanied by Viconia. Use all items (Thief HLA) + Carsomyr = win. 😀 Staff of the Magi from Shandalar's friend as backup. Add Greater Whirlwind... Or better yet, Improved Haste and Critical Blow... Massacre 🙂 He's got like 14M+ exp now... still, improved Sahuagin City was quite a challenge. The Priestess and her bloody Minor Avatar of Sakleh... 😛 Also, the random attacks from the crazy OPed party once in a while when I'm in Athkatla are sometimes hard (especially when they decide to attack Viconia, not me). Conjurer, Shadow Druid, Wizard Slayer, Berserker and a Bounty Hunter packed with +2/+3 gear, high level spells and the Wizard Slayer dispelling everything I have each hit... Crazy 😀

But even with great equipment and a lot of experience there are times when my hero just dies... fast 🙂 Can't wait for Watcher's Keep, this one will be crazy hard alone. I managed to solo it once with my Shapeshifter... That was after Weimer's fixes though 😛 And he was a Shapeshifter at lvl 13 dual-classed into a fighter... one tough wolfie 🙂
