BFG is a brand that subcontracts to smaller companies. there was an article abou thtem on hardocp.com.


it was founded by people who used to be part of visiontek when visiontek died. most of their boards are supposed to be reference design, but they will come out with specially designed things in 2003.
 
$89 is a hot price for a ti4200 128 mb already. I don't know how he got the price of $89. Cause it's $199 right now and he state that there's a $50 Instant Rebate and $80 mail in rebate. So that makes it:

$199-$50(IR)-$80(MIR)=$69 total not $89 as stated

You can buy it now and return/repurchase it on Friday and use the %10 Best Buy Magazine Coupon.

if they used to be visiontek, how reliable are their rebates? or is it a BB rebate? nonetheless $80 is a lot and u pay tax on it

First, it's not Visiontek, it's a whole new company started by some ex-employees of Visiontek.
Second, despite all the whining and crying, there never was a problem with Visiontek rebates. They were all honored. In fact, I just got my last one a few weeks ago.

 
Can anyone else out there verify this with a scan? I want to run out and buy a card, but it'd kinda suck if there weren't any rebates come Friday.

wow this is a great deal...but i remember issues last yr bout the GF3 Ti200 and ppl getting rebates late or none at all
