BFG or EVGA ??/

Ok no more of this.. today im buying a new video card!! 🙂

its up to 2 video cards

BFG 6800gt OC $399

or

EVGA 6800gt $388

which one is better ??? i really dont care about the noise 🙂

Flip a coin... I've owned both brands and I was happy with the cards both times.

As far as the 6800GT goes, get the cheaper one between eVGA and BFG and use the cash you saved to get an NV5 Silencer. The stock coolers on either card are not very impressive IMO.

im thinking morea about the bfg..... on newegg i would play 30dollars for ex warrenty... i rather pay 10 dollars more get it oc and have lifetime warr 🙂 what ya think?

I personally have had no problems with the BFG, so I say go for it. I owned a BFG GeForce FX 5700 Ultra card, and it was one of the best cards I've ever owned (until HL2...) so I would definitely recommend the BFG board, although either way, you're getting a good card.

P.S.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GET XFX...PERIOD

If your not into OCing I think the BFG is the way to go still. The BFG fan kinda sucks but I would rather have the life time warrenty if I were the type who didn't void them haha.

If you don't want to overclock, then the bfg is PERFECT. It comes clocked at 370 which is up from the usual 350 you should get. I didn't want to oc either, and i'm happy with my bfg. Great card.

You cant beat the lifetime warranty. But eVGA has that 1+1 warranty thing going on now. Let's say you purchase an eVGA card, it has the standard 1 year warranty. If you register it on their website, you get an extra year warranty.

I bought my first eVGA card (well two actually) and their service and support is so good. I will be a return customer I can tell you that. I am so glad I went with them over everyone else.

o yea and bfg has 24/7 tech support and it really is 24/7 and its here in AMERICA not outsourced to like bangladesh or something i dunno about eVGA though

I had the same choices and made my decision today.

Since I was not going to overclock myself, I went with the bfg. A little faster and lifetime warrenty.

bfg is good since it's factory OC but you can realistically OC it yourself. OCing from 350 to 370 is no big deal. You can then use that extra money to buy some vga coolers. as mentioned above, eVGA has the step up program. So you can trade in your clunker of a vid card for the newer vid card! (also gotta put down some extra money of course). So i would say go with eVGA.

i cant compare but i do have a BFG and think it does a wonderful job...the final kicker for me was the lifetime warranty..
