well lately ive been buying everything bfg thinking hey its great deal lifetime warranty thats what i want.. but whie going through reviews on bfg psu's i ran into someone that rma'd their psu.. they said bfg has 3 year warranty (the psu's lifetime) not your lifetime.. is this correct? if its just 3 years i might as well buy a diff brand as they all seem to have that much..

so if anyone knows that would be nice.. im about to buy some (bfg psu's and gfx cards) but not before i check on the lifetime warranty.. also like to know about xfx's lifetime warranty as i really believe it is lifetime but shit what do i know.

sorry i guess i should call bfg my self but not alot of time for that.. only have a few mins on the pc

90% of their graphics cards do have Lifetime warranty, their PSU's I'd check up on that.
Normally when buying from a retailer they will show the manufacturer warranty in the description

XFX also has lifetime and it is transferrable.

I also work for BFG, but hey, what do I know, I've only been there for two weeks? The best source for information is in the documentation included with your product, or from BFG's web site:

http://www.bfgtech.com/warranty.aspx

There are tiers of warranty levels. For instance the ES-800 power supply is a high end unit and comes with a lifetime warranty. You can always call BFG tech support (toll free 866-234-3499) 24 hours a day and ask them.

Just to be fair  both EVGA** and XFX have lifetime warranties, along with BFG. Regarding lifetime warranty on PSUs, besides some BFG models, I think Ultra offers lifetime warranty on some PSUs. Oh, BTW, all companies offering lifetime warranties (BFG, EVGA, XFX, Ultra) require you to register your product with them within 30 days of purchase or else there is only a 1 year warranty (3 years with Ultra). That's very important to know and understand or else you may end up buying a product thinking it has a lifetime warranty when it does not (without being registered in time).

Once you narrow down your choices to a few units, post them here to get more input.

** EVGA lifetime warranty only applies to products with part numbers ending in A1, A3, AR, AX, BR*, BX*, DR, DX, FR, FX, SG, SL, or S2.

UNLIKE most other "Lifetime Warranties", BFG's lifetime warranty really is for YOUR lifetime. NOT the life of the product.

If the product is EOL, you get whatever product was released to replace it in the line up. This goes for graphics cards and power supplies and whatever else BFG makes that has a lifetime warranty.
