MicroCenter has BFG GTX 295 1792MB GDDR3 PCIe 2.0 Graphics Card for $440, plus $6 shipping. This is significantly lower than other vendors. I am tempted to get this over GTX 285, if not for the heat/noise associated with dual-gpu cards. GTX 285 is much cooler/quieter compared to GTX 280. Anyways, for those interested...

Wow, AMD better boost those price cuts on the Radeon 4870X2... you still have to pay $450 most places for a 4870X2, then get a $30 mail-in rebate.

I'm very tempted to say nuts to that, GTX 295 time...

EDIT: There's $27 in taxes that chills this deal quite a bit. It's $472 shipped, $466 for pickup after taxes.

FWIW I'm not quite sure I believe the "ships in 1-3 days" that Micro Center claims. My last order took about 6 days to ship. Granted I've always gotten my stuff. I'm just sayin'... don't expect Newegg-like turnaround.

I ordered one yeterday to upgrade my 8800GT SLI. It should be at least2 x as powerful. AND I can add another one later. I hope it doesn't become obsolete to soon.
I got an email:
Thank you for your order, ROn K
