This has Chumbo beat on a number of levels... no power supply to waste money on... lower price. Actually, it was the cheapest price I could find from any place that actually had them in stock. As for how hot it is... depends if you're willing to spend nearly 5 bills on a video card. And even more than that, I'm hoping Chumbo and TheEgg, etc, get wind of it and lower their prices 😉.

Edit: Good find jackson18249, I looked at Monarch yesterday and didn't see it.

Same thing for $425:

I don't see how this has the chumbo deal beat (other than the fact that it's in stock): The bundle was TWO 6800GTs AND a power supply for $849, which is $425/card if you consider the PSU to be free. This is $474 for ONE card. But, I guess if you only want one, it's a way to go.

Why not just buy the Ultra in the first place, for that kinda money?

"In stock" is the operative phrase here... these lastest video cards from ATI and Nvidia have been OOS for so long, as far as I'm concerned many of them don't really exist. That Monarch deal is awesome, compared to what you would have to pay as of recent (for the PCI Express version).

What I don't understand is why I couldn't find the BFG PCI Express cards on Anandtech's price engine yesterday.
