I received a Dellf coupon code for 25% off any PC accessory which also includes video cards. If I use this on the BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra OC w/waterblock it comes up as $419 with free shipping. I don't use water in my PC, but do you think it would be possible to get this set up with with some kind of heatsink/fan? Worth messing with?

I think most people are reporting that they got the regular heatsink version when they ordered from dell.

Even if you do get a water block version, spend $30 for a NV5 VGA Silencer. It's till worth it.

sparkie34: PM me if you need a 25% off code. The codes come from the Dellf promotion that still ongoing. http://www.dell.com/dellf

The MFG part number for that card is BFGR68256UOC, which appears to be the air cooled version. The watercooler version has a MFG number BFGR68256UWC. That is a nice deal for a BFG 6800 Ultra OC. Only about $12 more than I paid for my 6800GT.

The only "bad" part of this is it leaves me stuck with AGP. I was planning on buying a Nforce 4 board.. but for $419 I am not sure I can pass that up.

Why the hell would you want a 6800 GT when you can/could order a 6800 Ultra for the same price ?

I got mine shipped for $407 from dell, some have got it for $379/384

Something else to remember is you're going to need a 500W power supply to run this thing. And no .. the $39 no name 550W won't do it. So.. if you don't already have a PCPC or Fortron/Sparkle 500W supply you're going to be spending another $100+ to run the card. :(

I have a evga 6800 ultra and it destroyed my generic 420 power supply. Also it $#($ed my mobo hard drive up, but it was salvagable so I recommend a quality GOOD power supply not no cheapy ones.

I ask as after coupons, the GT would be even less. Plus as mentioned, I have a dell 250w PS in my 400SC so I think the GT is the most I could handle.

The "250W" PSU in the 400SC is actually rated for about 340W. It should work fine.

If someone has a spare coupon could they please share it with me ? I've played the game about 75 times and still haven't won it. I would be so happy if someone would be kind enough to give me one. Thanks so much :)

rockit_scientist@hotmail.com I can't tell how much it would mean to me :)

I am running a LE6800 with Thug's ultra bios on my 400, and it works great.
