BFG BIOS FIX???

MCWAR

Banned
I recently bought a bfg6800gt oc through best buy. It came at stock speeds of 350/1000. I saw bfg6800gtoc bios at MVKTECH.net . I have 4 questions.
Is the overclock done with the bios that bfg uses?
If so, would the bfg bios download put it at bfg speeds?(370/1000)
IF so, how would you flash the bios of your video card?
And last, how can I see what the current bios is on my card?

One more. Is it possible bfg missed this card on the ass'y line and didnt put their bios on it?
Thanks for any replys, this forum has been very helpful to me
and I cant say enough about it.

nope u can o/c with rivatuner on guru3d.com (ver 15.3)

check search the boards for the step by step guide to o/cing

I know how to oc, I would just like some solid answers( if possible) to these questions. NOPE what exactly? (not trying to be crappy, Just curious.)

I don't know for sure if its the BIOS or what, I would assume it is though.

Have you contacted BFG tech support about this? They would be the ones that I'd take a BIOS from, otherwise it will likely void your warranty.

Just call BFG and tell them the situation but DO NOT flash the BIOS or they will probably tell you to have a nice day and hang up.

Yes
Maybe
I wouldn't, unless the mfg said I could. I want to keep my warranty.
You would use a video BIOS flash program such as NVflash.

Not sure, but several programs should tell you that.

There are a number of reasons for your card to be underclocked, including a few motherboard settings on certain boards. Your card probably just did not get the correct BIOS. I would get in touch with BFG.

I would return it... it's default speed should be 370... that's the default speed set in the BIOS. You can probably overclock it easily... but you paid for the BFG 6800GT OC... not a regular 6800GT.
