I have my 2405fpw being powered by a 9800 pro. All this talk about "my 6800GT is enough to power my 2405", is that just referring to games or 2d as well?

Edit: My first post after being banned for a month. Whoo hoooo!

Ordered. I currerently have a 6800ultra powering my 2405fpw and my 2005fpw, but I will get this for my brother. He is in need of a new "gamers" video card. Thanks OP, I just hope Dell sends them out fairly soon.

looks like you already have X800XL - so welcome to only 25% improvement for $500. That 5% per $100, which is well below the recommended 25% improvement per $100 investment.

"DidlySquat"

That's a pretty apt name for your reply to my original post. Yeah, it's a lot of cash, BUT IT"S NOT YOUR MONEY PEOPLE ARE BUYING THIS CARD WITH! Enough of the shouting. Your obviously jealous, or your a raging fanboy that has no answer for this card right now.

I won't be buying this card. I COULD if I wanted to, but I don't have the need for the most powerful card currently available. But for those of us that like to own cutting age hardware, this is a fantastic buy right now.

So if you have nothing better than to crap this thread, go into a corner or dark room and didlysquat yourself until you're satisfied.

'Nugh said!

Uhh, my X800 XL scores about 5300 on mark05 at max overclock, and 7800GTX has been reported to score at 8000+. That's more than a 25% improvement

Well my $350 X850 XT PE scores about 6500 in 3DMark05 at stock speed, so the extra 1500 marks isn't worth the $150 for me...yet.

I'll wait for the R520 and 7800 GT to come out first. No games I play need the extra speed yet.
