Hey guys,
I have the BFG 6800NU OC from Best Buy, the one with nice shiny heatsink. I've seen other 6800NU's clock up to 385/890. When I press detect optimal frequencies, it comes up at 380/760! My case ambient is at 32C, my CPU is at 30C and the card is running at 48C, 56C at load. I'm using the OC utility in Forceware drivers if that helps. I think its called Coolbits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kishan

It might not be a heat issue, perhaps the ram chips just won't hit that speed w/o anomalies? Eitherway, BFG offers lifetime warrenties, give em a call.

My BFG hit 390/770 in the coolbits test. I have only run it at stock, so I don't know if it will do higher than what coolbits says. My case is at 34C, cpu at 46C, card idle at 52C, and card load at 61C. I don't think it is a heat issue since you run cooler than me and coolbits tells me almost the same.

Teh Oh Noes, your card won't overclock as far as someone else's! CallTheFBI!

Variances in production give variances in performance. You got the short straw. :p

fully agreed, you dont hear me bitching that my 2.4 wont OC to 3 Ghz (okay, I might bitch, but at least it's bitching cous I got the unlucky chip)

OC is taking a risk, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

You werent lucky, live with it.
