I just tried overclocking it, and ir frooze in 3dmark03. and I said oh well, its a beast anyways. THen I was just playing speed underground 2, and it frooze again(its at default speeds),I have had it for 2 weeks now and it just started doing this.

rest of my system:
athlon xp 2100
768mb ram
asus a7v333

I was reading in that thread you posted, and they talk about updating bios. My bios was just flashed to the most recent one like 2 weeks ago. I dont have any options like voltage monitoring or control of the agp slot, is there some special nvidia bios flash?

it is a 400w compusa psu, but I have a lower end system with only 1 cdrw drive, 1 hardrive, and 1 floppy drive. I do have like 6 casefans. Do thoose draw alot of power?

yeah chances are you need a new PSU...Enermax 350 would be my suggestion...mabye a fortron 530w if you want to spend that much.

but it was running for 2 weeks striaght....:-( bummer. Im gonna try unplugging all my case fans, and just use my ginormous house fan blowing into my pc. Do you think that will leave enough room for a process of elmination, of it being a hardware(power supply) problem?thanks. WISH ME LUCK!

Have you turned off fast writes? MANY if not most people need to turn Fast writes off in the BIOS to have OC work with out freeezes. Also does it freeze when you aren't OCed if not don't OC so high if urning off fast writes doesn't help.

YOU wouldnt believe it. I know exactly what happened, and I bet the same has happened to a few other peeps. I tried overclocking but it frooze in 3dmark03. Then I restarted went into bios, and loaded the default settings. It lowered my vcore of my cpu to default 1.75 while it was still oc'd!. So I saved and exited, thinking everything was it default speed, and couldnt figure it out. Till when I unplugged everything and wanted to see my temps without all the case fans, I noticed the vcore setting. Right now shes been running fine!. Thanks for replies dudes.
