So since when is a Phenom II x4 4.0ghz
4GB 1600mhz ram
1GB HD 7770

Not enough for this game using the 32 bit executable?

I originally thought it was an OS issue so went back to Win 7, oh hell no, i am wrong...

70-85% usage on CPU, 60-95% GPU
3.5GB out of 4GB.

Down from 80FPS to 0 all the time... it's horrendously bad.
low/medium/high/ultra all does the same thing...

1366x768/1600x900/1920x1080 same damn result.

So i'm about to uninstall this garbage as that is exactly what it is right now.

On top of the performance problems i got kicked for no apparent reason by Punkbuster.

You can not play BF4 multiplayer with only 4GB it's just not enough even if you had 64bit OS and executable ,with 32bit it's only ~3,2GB and that is way (way way way) too low.

Punkbuster may kick you if there are premium(or generaly higher ranking) members waiting for que, they have higher priority.

Yes minimum for single player, have you tried it? Should run very well on your machine.
Multiplayer needs 8gb ,or at least more then 4.

Upgrade the memory, BF4 hates 4GB ram.

And get pbsetup.exe from evenbalance and update it.

I play BF4 with a 3.4GHz Phenom II x4, 4GB DDR3 (at 1333MHz I think) and a 7950 at 1920x1080 pretty much with no issues. I don't have the graphics super cranked of course and not sure what FPS it actually runs at but it's certainly not choppy.

First off, playing in 32-bit Windows means your game can only access 2GB, regardless of the total system memory. Running 32-bit software in a 64-bit environment increases it to 3GB. BF4 in particular is ram hungry. It's time to add some ram and jump to 64-bit. The difference will be noticeable.

Second, Punkbuster sometimes does not update automatically needs to be updated separately to work properly. This means downloading the installer from the Punkbuster site. This will likely cure that problem unless you are actually cheating.

Oh right, so i should not be able to play 99% of newer games because it is under recc specs?

I swear people have IQ's of 40 on the internet.

No, but this isn't console land. Playing ball on the lower end of the performance ladder means dealing with issues that won't necessarily manifest at the higher end. You're a 32-bit user operating in a 64-bit world. Sometimes more does in fact mean better, especially with ram. 8GB is has become the new minimum for gaming, with 16GB rapidly becoming optimal. Going from 4GB to 8GB is night and day, with diminishing returns occurring between 8GB and 16GB.

You're here asking us for help, so I'd be careful with IQ talk. If your accusing us of having a low IQ, what does that say about you?

I have ran BF4 on a x4 9150e,4gb of ram and a gtx650 with no issues.Needed to run the 32 bit game on all low but it ran without issues outside of the cpu being just a bit to slow@1.8Ghz.

I noticed anyways massive slowdowns when the settings got took outside of medium even with my current rig with 6gb of ram and a Q6600.I still run the 32 bit and low and the experience is about as flawless as a Q6600 allows it to be.

Manually updating Punkbuster is a must,i got kicked often enough till i did update too.

I run a 64 bit OS, BF4 has 32/64 bit EXE's.

i think you are confusing people with this bit at start of post you mention 32 bit EXE, so it appears you are using a 32 bit exe, I must admit I'm not sure exactly what you are saying in that sentence. Then you also mentioned 32 bit in your MIN specs reply. Sometimes people read too quickly and assume, and it doesn't help when you get grumpy with them :)

sorry other than that I don't have much to add, I played BF42 and a couple after, I quit buying the same game, new coat of paint for $60 several versions ago, but am sorry to hear it plays like crap for you.

Funny no one mentioned the 1gb card. That right there would cause your FPS to lock right the hell up. Doesn't matter now though since you got a REAL gaming rig inbound to your doorstep.

No he mentioned low resolution and low quality, so 1gb card is no problem, you can even go to 1080 and mediumish settings with just 1gb.

The 1GB was not an issue, BF4 on low does not use even half of 1GB ;)

^^^I ran the beta with a gtx 260, Q9650, 8GB. Game ran playable at medium/low settings. I don't know the fps but it was playable.
I agree I think memory is the issue.
