Stolen from SlickDeals:
Battlefield 3 Limited Edition (PC) Pre-Order at Direct2Drive for $45.86! Pre-order for download instantly when Battlefield 3 (BF3) launches on October 25, 2011 for $46! (Slightly cheaper than last week's BF3 preorder at Newegg).

Use coupon code: CHEAPASS15 (exp 9/16)

D2D is like Valve's Steam or EA's Origin

Battlefield 3 (BF3) Limited Edition will include all the exclusives:
Strike At Karkand
48 Hour Advance Beta Access?
Pre-Load?
Physical Warfare Pack?
I actually used it on my order for BF3 and Deus Ex and got 15% off both, so it may cover all games.

You can message customer care on the origin website and say you had a coupon but it is not working. They will give you a 20% off one. So you can get it from EA which includes early access to the beta and something else. I thought EA orders were the only ones with early beta access?

Otherwise, this is a good deal so far.

charge tax in every state, so its not better that the newegg one.

There are two factors I see that come into play in this deal, speed and physical media. If you want the game faster, D2D should get it to you quicker than newegg. However, you will not have the official disk(s) through D2D if that is important to you.

The final total from D2D for me was about $1 more than newegg, but I figure that is worth it since I will have the download finished before I get home the following day from work.

Still not a big deal, like lots of people i just download the game on release day, then just enter code when i get it in mail. Most releases lately its easier to order online since most games take forever to get patches, work-a-round fixes to get it to run first couple days anyways.

Thanks for posting this. Pulled the trigger. I was going to wait for steam but it would probably be full price then.
