I can vouch for DCS-A10C. It doesn't have the prettiest of graphics and personally I don't think it's optimised very well but with a HOTAS joystick like the Thrustmaster Warthog and TrackIR, it is incredible.

FSX with some add-ons can look stunning. Youtube FSX HD and you can see for yourself. Stuff like this:

Yes of course if you consider view distance, simulation games fare extremely well since they're designed around large distances.
