Not sure what is going on. My system specs are listed in my sig. Not sure what is going on. The only thing that happens some time is the screen goes black then flickers and the sound will flicker with the screen. Any insight guys? Is this just one of the many bugs DICE has yet to fix. I did a quick google search and there were ALOT of the same question. Thanks.

I just read somewhere that a system monitoring program could conflict with it. I do have speedfan running when it does this. Is that possible?

Speed fan? Have they even updated that junk since 2005?

You can monitor with msi afterburner.

No crashes in bf3 for me.

Wouldn't it be easier to just close it and run BF3 than to ask about it here?

Are your video card drivers up to date? Also try and run it without overclocking.

Drivers are up to date. I am at work and just read about it and never put two and two together. Wont be able to get on until probably tomorrow to try. Thought maybe one of the thousands of people on here may have ran in to the same issue.

ive had so many problems with this game its silly.

No seriously... every patch which is suposed to fix it has only made stuff worse.

Lastly, ALL THE MAPS IVE PLAYED IN BF3 HAVE BEEN SO TOTALLY ONE SIDED...
I can NEVER get in a good game... its always 1 side, and i think it applies to ALL BF games...

:\

Can we get a autobalance that really works?

^^ I think the problem with "autobalance" is it only looks to even the number of players, not spread the good players among the two teams :|

it kills the game in mp.

Theres only 3 outcomes.

1. You have a hacker on your team, which makes the map so boring, because he's killing everything.
2. Your team mates all suck and are stupid wannabe snipers who cant even snipe very well, hence no rushing, hence again one sided.
3. Your team mates are sooo leet, they push back so hard, that they start to base rape, and ur sitting at a point waiting for the enemy to get out, but they cant, cuz they are being based raped.

^ this has been my experience in BF3.

Add the glitches and crashes... and the strobing graphic glitchs.... you sure you want to play the game?

I love it.. Actually had a game last night on Operation Firestorm where we overtook the opposing team (conquest) in the last 50 tickets and ended up winning! Thought for sure we were gonna lose...

Server selection is pretty important... If you don't like your team, switch!

-edit-

On-topic, I've only had BF3 crash once, and that was due to my graphics drivers.. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed... All other problems was BF3 not loading, but ends up loading in my task-bar and I have to click it, and then it works just fine!

Its strange, but I can go all week at 3-4 hours per day with no crash, but then some nights its just crashes game after game. Then after like the 5th crash its fine the rest of the night. No rhyme or reason.

Are you using any asus sound products?

The GX sound option causes crashes in BF3

The only time it crashes for me is when I hit a group of people with an RPG on a Map where RPGs aren't allowed. :sneaky:

If your PC is over-clocked (any component) then try to play with vanilla frequencies and voltages, see if it helps.

CuriousMike- I am running a 550W which I am told should do the trick just fine. Unless you guys recommend more.

Zenoth- You lost me man. Sorry newb here. I will try unclocking the CPU and running just 3 cores and see what happens?

I ran w/o speedfan on tonight and it didn't do its usual crash but it did end up freezing and then crashing to desktop saying the graphics driver quit working and recovered. Never had it do that before. I double checked my driver and it is for sure current. I am lost.

On my comp, BF3 crashes after a minute unless I underclock or overvolt my GTX 580 by about 10%. No problems since I discovered this.

Sometimes it might be your PC and alot of times it is the server... or sever communicating with your PC... because I noticed on some servers I can play 6 hours straight with no issues... while other servers I get randomn freezes or crashes...

I gave up on BF3 because of crashing. Amazon was nice enough to give me a full refund. The game still "works" but it's just not worth the trouble. I played for 5 minutes a week or so ago and then it crashed and I didn't bother loading it again.

Developers tip : Never have a browser add-on launch your game... that's just dumb.

I was getting BSOD quite often. I changed two things but I'm not sure which one did the trick.

1. Set system RAM voltages from "Auto" to "Manual" at manufacturers settings.
2. Updated motherboard onboard audio drivers(Realtek)

Here is what I have done so far. Set clocking back to factory. Do not run speed fan. Still freezing and crashing. Have gotten the BSOD a couple of times now. I am just pissed now. I cannot figure it out. I don't expect you guys to be able to figure it all out for me but is anyone else still experiencing the same thing? I have another 8gb of memory coming and am going to try that out.

This seemed to help me the most. New drivers were released a week or two ago. It still crashes from time to time, but not nearly as much as it used to.
