Lehtv you make a good point with the 3 year warranty. I just don't know anything about galaxy like R4in said. I don't want to pay 70 dollars less for something if it isnt going to be as reliable to me. I don't want to go through the hassle from returning parts and waiting for them to get them back to me. EVGA makes less faulty cards and has less issues about the cards than Galaxy does. I'm also not gonna lie I think the EVGA cards are pretty sexy...

When it comes down to it, we as people are biased and stubborn....if you want to save money and buy a Galaxy that has the same warranty go for it, if doing that will mean that you wont be able to sleep at night because you'll be tossing and turning regretting the graphics card you bought then I say buy the brand and the card that your little heart really wants as long as it is in your budget.

You have absolutely no reason to think that other than some vague notion of EVGA's high reputation which, to be honest, can be based on brand popularity alone. Galaxy's hardware could be just as reliable but they can't price their cards as high because they wouldn't be competitive then - they lack the reputation and popularity ensure sales with high prices.

By all means go with EVGA if it gives you peace of mind, I just personally don't see any rational reason to avoid Galaxy.

I see the point you are making Lehtv and I have been reading that. I still have about 40 dollars in my budget and am thinking maybe I shouldn't go with the EVGA. IMHO I want to know what you think is the best route for me to take on this 570 perferably SC. I want the best one I can get. I think EVGA cards just look a little sexier but since my case wont be showing much I just want the most power I can get from a single 570.

I think THE best GTX 570 you can get is MSI Twin Frozr III Power Edition. The cooler is superior to anything EVGA can offer, and it's built of high quality components and thanks to the "power edition" power delivery it's overclockable to the speed of a GTX 580. It does however cost $100 more than a Galaxy 570 :D. It's not good value for money, but it IS the best 570 IMO. And it's still much better value for money than a 580.

Okay well than that settles it because they have the same warranty as the EVGA cards as you mentioned before and I was reading on another post about how good MSI's customer service is, so....I think that is probably what I will go with. Yeah it is more expensive than that Galaxy lol :) Thanks for the advice another time Lehtv, You and Mfenn are helping me learn a lot! Gracias!

The one and only experience I've had with MSI was not good :( GTX 460 crapped out 2 months after i bought it. I never had the time to RMA it so i cant really blame them. It just left a bad taste to me but i wont argue with the reviews that TF III is getting

edit: This is one users review

Other Thoughts: If your looking at getting a 570, this one is the one to get. I replaced my Evga 570 HD SC for this one and I am glad I did. This card is simply top quality.

Looks like we have a winner.

Once the 28nm cards come out i wonder what the resale value of that card would be compared to other 570s. I expect the $350 cards to be able to go for around $250 where as $500 cards may sale for $350. Would definitely lose less going with this but I cant argue with a lifetime warranty from EVGA

Which EVGA are you looking at because the one I was only had a 3 year warranty and Trust me I have heard your 460 story :p But I can't have a bad taste about it because that would be overanalyzing it and that's not what I wanna do because I havent heard anything bad about them other than you receiving a bad card ya know?

Register your card on their website and poof lifetime warranty. Maybe some of the cards are only doing 10 year warranty....but woopty doo, if i have the same GPU 10 years from then i dont deserve to be a gamer

Manufacturer WarrantyPartsLifetime limitedLaborLifetime limited

Trust me I have heard your 460 story But I can't have a bad taste about it

As i said, it was the only experience ive had with them AND it was my fault for not doing the RMA in time. Im sure it wont happen with every single one of their cards lol

One person's experience with one product of a company says absolutely nothing about how good the company is. Any piece of hardware can crap out on you prematurely, it's just a matter of probability. Whether that probability is higher for products of one brand than those of another is something you'd need to determine with a large sample of data.

For example, someone can buy a Seasonic X-series power supply that craps out on them in a few days or weeks. The PSU was faulty, it happens. If that turns the customer away from Seasonic permanently, it's his loss - Seasonic is still one of the best PSU manufacturers by any metric that matters.

Yeah, I agree with you Lehtv I can't base it on one persons experience. I just used R4in because we work together IRL :p And he almost made me anti MSI because of his faultiness...:p
