BF2k4 PNY 6800 worth while upgrade?

I am trying to figuer out if the PNY 6800 for $200 at compusa is a worth while upgrade for me:

Assume: I can mod the 6800 to get at least 14 pipes working + 1 VU

I have a 9800Pro on a XP2500+ OC 2.1Ghz in a shuttle SN41G2 case. Considering the 9800 pro is doing very well thermally and I only have a 200W powersupply with the case.

Is it worth while for me to go through with the upgrade?

TIA

For ut2k4 no it will not be much of a difference. Went exactly from a 9800pro to the PNY 6800NU and it softmoded ok and oc to 375/800 and yes I do get more fps but I canot really the difference. On Doom 3 on the otherhand it was a huge improvement 🙂

It starts with 12 pipes, goes up to 16 if successful. It's a big upgrade at new games like Doom3, Far Cry, HL2- especially unlocked. It's a big upgrade at anything OpenGL as well.
