Does battlefield 2 support widescreen resolutions?

You have to manually edit the command line in the shortcut in your start menu

From what I understand, you also gain nothing in visual scope, and actually lose a bit of vertical

put this in the target of your BF2 shortcut...

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 800"

you can replace +fullscreen with +widescreen too I believe. I dunno, never noticed the difference.
