I prefer CS:S for a few reasons. One, it's not made by EA. Two, it's difficult to play by yourself in Battlefield 2, you need to work as a team, and that's difficult if you don't play on a regular basis and aren't part of a clan (if it's anything like BF1942 and it's mods, I just have the demo of BF2). Three, the character animations in CS:S are better.

CS.
It runs a heck of a lot smoother and you can play with lots of BOTS. Am not a fan of any online gaming. Even Guild Wars ticks me off because you have to be online to play a game that is essentially single player.

You can play BF2 with bots...

Thats nice. This feature was not in dispute, but everyone is grateful you know how to use emoticons.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

Well in my experiance theres two kinds of teamwork. The first being direct teamwork where you give/take direct orders from the commander or squad leader and follow these to your best ability. The second is indirect which i think happens a lot more on the crazy 64 player servers, this is where people generally will work as a team by themselves. E.G say theres americans that have flown over the front line and taken one of the MEC bases behind it, theres a good chance people will notice and 5 or 10 will head up there to see if they can clear it out. So there is quite a bit of teamwork as most people have at least some tactical knowhow :D

Anyways teamwork in CSS is basically just run to the chokepoint throw a grenade then sit and wait for the sorry gits on the other team to wander through. Or if you get bored just go through yourself and get popped in the head, then realise being dead was worse than being alive and doing nothing..... BF2 dosent have simply 1 chokepoint, you get people wandering all over the place (ok some are just clueless) but quite a few are sneaking up on the enemy and getting behind the front line. I regularly drive a buggy into an enemy infested base get out and bolt for cover! Then kill anyone who comes after me, after that i start taking out lone people from within :) Its totally class!

My only beef with BF2 is teamkills :frown:

Artillery striking your own guys SHOULDNT result in a teamkill
Killing the people who put their faith in you as a good pilot SHOULDNT be a teamkill
Running somone over also SHOULDNT be a teamkill

If somones gone mad and is flattening everyone in a hum vee or w/e then theres the kickvote option which i still havent found unfortunately.

Oh, as for EA.... they ruined westwood so theyre scum, but i aint gonna hate emm as they make some really good games.

It really is sad how well that defines CS. It was 10x better back in beta, when people would knife rush / wall strafe / hostage jump / bunny hop. There were variables involved in a battle, you didn't know how fast your opponent could get to XYZ location because, based on how knowledgable and skilled he was at the game, it could vary. But then they went and killed every alternate means of movement and there was no variety in how fast someone could go to a location and everything became exact timing. Bleh. Plus they ruined movement in CS when they made you slow down after jumping, that just makes it feel retarded.
